Raiders chairman John McIntyre has labelled Canberra's failed 2011 NRL season a disappointment but feels theres no need to make any changes to the coaching staff. The board will conduct its annual review of the club's performance in about three months and McIntyre said coach David Furner's position wouldn't be put under the spotlight despite the club's failure to qualify for the finals.
Injuries have cruelled Canberra this year with influential five-eighth Terry Campese's absence felt the hardest.
Representative stars David Shillington, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs and Josh Dugan have also spent extended stints on the sideline.
"You take Terry Campese out of any team - he's just so bloody important his contributions," McIntyre said.
"It's obviously a very disappointing season for everybody particularly the players. Its not a matter of doing any finger pointing or anything like that, it's all a team game.
"When the emotion of the season has died down, just prior to the guys getting into the pre-Christmas training, so sometime in October, November, we'll sit down and we'll have a review.
"It's not just the footy team, it's about what things we may have been able to do better and how we address that."
The Raiders will also use the off-season to search for an eighth board member after philanthropic businessman Jim Murphy died in May.
"We've just let this season ride out," McIntyre said. "There's no desperate hurry [to replace Murphy], let's just acknowledge the fact that he was such a revered bloke on that board."
Canberra's 29-10 loss to the Warriors on Sunday left it stranded in 14th and out of finals contention.
