Why have 30k stadium in parra and a 70k stadium 10 minutes down the road? One 60-70k stadium would do the trick.

Wests need to move out to CB permanently and would be awesome for them to have a new 30k stadium their instead of parra.

so
instead of having 5 clubs ( dogs , souths , parra , tigers , panthers ) potentially using the new 30K seat stadium at Parramatta which is central to these clubs.

we have 1 club using a new facility at campbelltown

yeah
that makes sense lol

Considering that region has probably the biggest league support in the world yea I'd say having a 30k new stadium for Wests and potentially having dogs/Eels/Rabbits taking one game each their a year.

My whole point here is why have a 30k stadium in parra and a 70k stadium 10 minutes down the road where you can have just the 70k stadium in Parra and the 30k stadium in Campbelltown.

because only one club would ever use the one in campbelltown
which is rampant stupidity

I just hope they are building the 30k parra stadium in a way that it can be easily upgraded to 50k in 20 years.

60K is not big enough for the premier venue for our sport in that sports biggest city

TBH I used to think we needed a massive venue but there simply hasn't been growth in crowds to demand it.

We have 2 matches a year that draw above 60k.

Even if you include other sports it's probably only 4 matches.

Sydney just isn't a huge sports town like Melbourne.

They would of been better off tearing down All three stadiums (anz, pirtek,Sfs) and building a 65k stadium at parramatta and a 50k stadium at Moore park. Also a brand new 30k stadium at Campbelltown.

Rabbits, Roosters permanently at New SFS
Eels, Dogs at new WS stadium
Tigers permanently at new CB stadium

65k at parramatta? Why?

For major events parramatta is harder to get to than ANZ. Long walk from the station.

A major venue of 60k + needs to be directly next to a train station. You have that with ANZ plus a heap of parking.

Getting 65k out of parra would be a nightmare.

Re Souths they've made it clear their future is at ANZ

not the point
based on that stupid logic

suncorp is too big for Brisbane

Suncorp has a lot higher percentage of tickets sold than ANZ.

52k is a perfect number for what they're getting. It allows for growth for its major tenant & accommodates the current crowd so there's a really good atmosphere.

Based on the commentary on here this massive spend is likely to benefit one nrl club, eels. The rest will still be playing in an atmospheric void of anz that does nothing to attract people to attend games or playing in the same sub standard Suburban conditions they are playing in now. Even worse is it is going to deny 10k people the opportunity to see the rare events that actually fill, anz.
Money well spent lol.

it was the numb of games not sold out
now its the % of tickets sold

Then the commentary is wrong.

Even at 72k the design for ANZ will be a significant improvement for club games. A lower bowl of 25-30k right on top of the action will be an excellent result for the Dogs & Souths.

It's just that even that could potentially be improved upon with a more realistic seating size.

It's honestly the difference between getting a 8/10 stadium or a 9 out of 10.
