Are they that old though? You look at pics and vids from the mid 80's and the trees don't look that big, I doubt they'd be 40 years old tbh. This is from a game in 1985 I randomly found on FB.

Look at the spend on sponsorship - Storm and Melbourne AFL clubs all have multiple national sponsors in the $millions. Some Sydney NRL clubs have local law firms or small business at their top tier sponsors.

The price we pay for not being the NATIONAL Rugby League.

I just think people see them and think they're 100+ years old when they're more than likely not even half that.

In what way? Some of those suburban grounds should only be used on certain occassions. Shark Park or Brookvale Oval - they can use them against non Sydney teams

They'd be alright for NRLW and a revived National Youth Competition. Running NYC a relaunched NYC and NRLW at the same venue would create more content for the broadcasters.

Well it’s about an hour to hour and a half from the SFS for Manly and Cronulla respectively. It’s not necessarily ideal but it’s not like they can’t play some games there particularly against other Sydney teams. It would require them to play in the afternoon though.

For example, one way of getting people into the habit of attending is having regular double headers at both SFS and maybe Commbank.

Broncos fans not based in Brisbane have the same issue. Dolphins are a long way from Lang Park.

You can incorporate the trees. Just build stand either side of ground.

There's now a stadium in the east and one in the west. The next goal has to be to improve the public transport system so people from all over the city can reach these venues without having to catch 2 or more different trains and buses.

Don't need to organize many buses is nobody goes

I'm quite fond of the 70's style light poles you can see in the area. Symbolizes home of night football for the game for years

People can piss and moan all they want but the reality of the situation is the government might not spend the money and the clubs don’t have the money to seriously upgrade their stadiums; thus, they mightn’t have a choice
