Alright you put a boxing bout or the Australian Open tennis grand slam final on at the MCG and work out how you do it logistically

You know Wembley holds boxing?! Las Vegas charge huge prices & do bigger gate with small venue

I think so, seems to be that if youre a syd based team, gotta play in one of the big 3 stadiums, and allianz is the closest to the sharks area...

The difference is that the NRL recoup the revenue from finals matches so it is within their right I guess

Well the closer games leading upto the GF need to play at somewhat neutral or larger venues, even tho cows will probably play in townsville next...

Why would tigers have Logan when they miles apart & easts were rival for souths?! Never mind you cray cray
Is there anything you don't get wrong?

Souths are based in West End and don't have any sub-district clubs in Logan. The last time they did was 40 years ago.

Easts have three sub-district clubs in Logan and are in the process of establishing a fourth. Rochedale Tigers. Springwood Tigers. Flagstone Tigers. They're going to start up the Yarrabilba Tigers, too.

Brisbane Lions are based in Woolloongabba, which isn't very far away from Easts at Coorparoo. Lions also have a social club in Springwood.

The seats in bay 230 would shudder and shake anytime any moved, stood up or sat down, felt like they could collapse at any second, cheap and flimsy workmanship and materials.

There is a delicious irony in a club that wont move 20km up the road to far superior facilities to play games calling for global expansion lol!

Its a one off pre season match PR, geez you're grasping at straws, when you could easily pick up and move to melbourne to live and watch the storm at any moment, instead of harping on about how perth got no team... why cronulla has to move anywhere that aint cronulla is mind boggling to me.. they own their own stadium...
Name me a club in the NRL that has their own stadium.... they should all have their own .. maybe not accor/allianz, but atleast a local home ground they can call their own, even to just have as a back up or pre season matches, ala belmore or redfern

I like the sunshine more than I like the Storm :)

As for Cronulla, you know that old saying about doing the same thing and expecting different results?

There's heaps of sunshine in the sutherland shire... not sure what result you constantly looking for from the sharks other than this is their home... its reminiscent of a few years back when talk if relocations in the media and manly simply laughed it all away...
The clubs are the stakeholders they aint going nowwhere.. the brands are the NRL, as is evident with all the talk of North Sydney Bears returning wherever the nrl decides in a proposed city (hopefully it being Perth)

yeh but there's sharks fans as well :)

Look don't want to go back into sharks problems but their, and some others, current stadium isnt going to make them the financially wealthy club they will need to be in years to come. Its a bad look for the game to be showing to millions of viewers the game being represented in these run down venues, and you cant tell me it doesn't create a perception of the game for TV providers and sponsors. As a TV provider do you want to show games in front of large crowds in modern stadiums, or small crowds in suburban grounds? Which do you really think they value more?

I'm all for all clubs sharing the three main stadiums (though I dislike accor as much as the suburban grounds) and Sharks, penrith and Manly as isolated geographic clubs with small fanbases having their won 25k new stadiums. Problem is Govt isnt going to pay for it so how do we get there? And what do we do in the mean time?

Back to the "if you keep doing things the same way...."

I'm sure with all the research you do you could maybe think just that touch deeper into a "why is Dino proposing this?"
I'm guessing that you know that aramex is the Sharks main sponsor, an international company, and no guesses as to where aramex head office is....... thats right, Dubai. Right where he has been having talks with the UAE Business Council.
How many other NRL teams are capable of doing this move with the sponsors they have?
Sometimes your little jabs really do look just petty, and considering you go on about growing the game I would have thought that this type of scenario is something you could actually be positive about.

You trying to turn this into a negative really does show your true character.
