The premier is a tigers fan and lovers Leichhardt oval so yeh it’s a decent reminder it needs money

That might be the case but he also has to look at the wider social benefit. How much money will be needed to fix it up? Even then, is it worthy for anybody at the NRL to play games there.

It’ll get the 50 million they asked for

it won’t change much other than make people feel good but it is what it is

If they get $50m, then Penrith will get some uncovered seating on the northern hill, and get the toilets improved.
And some people on this forum would think this wold be a fair and reasonable outcome!

They shouldn’t get $50 million. They shouldn’t be playing NRL games there.

Any funding it receives should be commensurate to that a ground that plays NSW Cup and junior level sport

A upgraded Leichhardt would be a great ground for most Women's Rugby League, Union and Soccer matches with bigger events over at either CommBank, New Allianz or even Accor for the real big ones
A new Penrith Stadium would be the same with a permanent NRL tenant, plus a permanent NSW Cup team.

Exactly. It would be a good venue for some lower tier stuff.
High school sports and the like.

Australian soccer fans have a massive chip on their shoulder. It really bothers them that they're a minor sport at the professional level.

Roosters paid to have office space at the building and are the largest and richest sports club to use the stadium. I'm glad they're promoting their brand and standing up to the bitter soccer fans who want to be treated like kings when they're just pawns.
Should have never been allowed by NSW Venues

And any signage should only be electronic

So it can be changed depending on the tennant that day
