Why ? here we go again. Any normal Rugby League fan should be celebrating one of our clubs being able to buy space in a $900m stadium and if they want to throw their weight around because they are the biggest fish in the pond well good on them. We need clubs like that in every large city in Australasia.

If the Swans did it. He would of came in his pants.. About time RL stood up for itself.

Blame those who signed the contract

Not when it’s at the detriment of the game as a whole.

Nice bullshit. And I don't mean that in a bad or rude way. I just think you are being disingenuous.
Your comparison with Sydney United is laughable.

I'm a Wanderers fan and I hate Sydney FC. But they have not done anything wrong here.
It is NOT the Roosters stadium. It is owned and run by Venues NSW. Just like the SCG, Commbank, Wollongong and Newcastle, as well as Accor. All of which share tenants.
Of course, clubs like SFC would want their home ground to appear to be their home ground on game day, just like the Waratahs would, or, the Matilda's, Wallabies or even the Socceroos for example.
I was quite happy for the 3 long term tenants to have their symbols attached to the front of the stadium, sort of.
But to have a major sign like the Roosters have at the back of the stadium speaks of Politis Power. Why couldn't there have been two more like that for SFC and the Waratahs? It's their home too.
History has nothing to do with it.
Commbank has seen nothing of this. It is a stadium that is shared, and every team that appears there puts their own mark on the stadium on game day with lighting, flagpoles on match day, food and merchandise stalls, entertainment etc......

It is not insecurity from football. It is about looking after their fans and making their game day experience all about their own team, not the Roosters.
Your argument is really petty.
Australian soccer fans have a massive chip on their shoulder. It really bothers them that they're a minor sport at the professional level.

Roosters paid to have office space at the building and are the largest and richest sports club to use the stadium. I'm glad they're promoting their brand and standing up to the bitter soccer fans who want to be treated like kings when they're just pawns.

Thanks for posting. You'd think they'd have juts put up signage for all three main tenants wouldn't you? Allowing Roosters to buy space in the new stadium was a stupid idea and that can now be seen in the way they are behaving like they feel an entitlement to own the place.
oh well well
the forum court jester siding with another sport over an NRL club

how surprising.....

Exactly
if AFL does it .
Perth afl lover writes a big post on how great it is ..how far Ahead of the NRL they are …with the usual rant about it’s PVLs fault .
yet when the NRL do it it’s criticized .

his Aflol loving agenda Is constantly on show no matter how much he tries to deny it .

That is the thing, Every day thousands of people go past that stadium. What they see is a big giant Logo of a RL club...Great advertisement that.

Bruno Mars concert over the weekend, Only Australian concert so very likely there is interstate tourists here. They see the Roosters logo and who knows, Curiosity might have them tune in to a game or 2. That is great publicity there

Why go to the trouble of putting a tarp over a sign on the stadium though?

When you go to AAMI Park in Melbourne it says home of the Storm, Rebels, Victory and City out the front and that doesn't seem to cause any friction.

Why not just get Sydney FC added to the signage (i.e. a sign saying "Home of Sydney FC")
