Sydney's stadium wars have taken a dramatic turn, with ANZ and Allianz Stadiums potentially receiving only glorified make-overs after Premier Gladys Berejiklian pulled the pin on a secret $3 billion proposal.
Mr Ayres has presented the premier with a plan for a more than $3 billion spend over the next 10 years
"If we have to spend more, we will," Ms Berejiklian told 9NEWS.
If I had my way I'd make the SFS Sydney's premium big stadium. 70k capacity best Rugby stadium on Earth. NOT because of the Roosters, I know we wouldn't f**kin fill it, but because it would bring big events back to the CBD where they belong and save us and the poor sods who waste their time flying in from trekking out to Deadsville on a Wednesday night.
Rebuild Olympic as a nice 50k ground and for the love of god try and get some life into the wasteland that is Olympic Park.
Where on earth did the $3 Billion figure come from?
An ambiguous statement in the first sentence...
and a throwaway line in the last sentence
Yet, in the second last sentence, Gladys says this....
The govt has never stated it would spend that much. Not publically anyway.
Nice one Channel 9. More bullshit to make your story sound better.
I've been hearing 3 bill for a few years.
Mmmmm, really? Where? Who from?
Sources?
Just the usual media sources over the years. Not that it means a lot if they change their plans.
Mate, it's always been 1.6 billion to be shared between Allianz/ANZ, + $300/350 million for Parramatta
Why I don't think Tax payers money should be used to build football stadiumsBerejiklian is a waste of oxygen. She has no clue. She should be shot.

You did read the line that said secret $3bn?
Now something has happen since she got back to Sydney and that plan has been scrapped with the cost going back to around the original $1.6 bn.
