The trains haven’t been run well, never said otherwise. This stadium process hasn’t been handled well. There’s a whole heap of things they’ve done poorly. And yet they’re still better than the last labor govt.

They sold off assets to pay for infrastructure, these things don’t come for free.
No Shit. And you people wonder why so many people have a problem with Liberal spending even more on it.
And no. Thats the issue. They are NOT still better than the last labor govt, they are right where labor finished before rightly getting thrown out.
And the trains are at an all time low.

The liberal government has f**ked the trains and gave us westcon, its pretty clear they cant handle infrastructure at all, especially after f**king over the stadium plan so the SCG trust can be the winners.
If you give a shit about the quality of infrastructure in Sydney vote out the liberals.

You can't be serious, honestly?
This govt has done more for infrastructure in this state than we've seen since Bradfield.
They've had to because previous govt's over decades did f**k all.
They want to do more but are now having their hands tied by Foley and his Labour buddies like Peter Fitzteatowelhead.
Infrastructure builds currently underway.....

- West Sydney Stadium
- West Connex
- North Connex
- North West Metro
- Extension of North West Metro to Bankstown
- Sydney Light Rail.
- Newcastle Light Rail.

Future planned......

- Parramatta Light Rail (part 1) Westmead - Carlingford (in planning stages and construction expected to start this year)
- Parramatta Light Rail (part 2) (Camellia to Olympic Park)
- West Sydney Metro. (City to Parramatta via Bays Precinct and Olympic Park)
- 2nd under harbour road crossing (From West Connex at Rozelle to Balgowlah and Crows Nest)
- 2 new stadium rebuilds.
- M6 from M5 to current M6 at Helensburgh.
- West Sydney Ap (federally funded) but associated infrastructure.

So, they can't handle infrastructure????
f**k off.
And.......for the record, I've always been a labour voter.

And most of those infrastructure builds have been handled so f**king poorly that that they well behind schedule and over budget, and to source them they have either had to sell off assets, raise prices or tax the users.
So yeah, its clear that infrastructure being handled poorly is better than no infrastructure.

Sydney light rail has been poorly handled. Due to poor planning regarding existing underground infrastucture. Everything else is flying along.
What would you prefer? Labour opposing everything and doing and promising nothing?
I think not.
And, the LNP sold off the assets first to fund this stuff, not the other way round.

Yep, the north west rail project being almost 10 times the size of the light rail is on track for its scheduled opening.

Parramatta stadium is months ahead of schedule.

Sydney light rail was a disaster along George street because they kept finding all these services that weren’t listed on any maps. Luckily for NSW taxpayers there’s a penalty provision in the contract of $750,000 for every day it’s late.

FMD, the labour party tried for 10 years to get an Opal card up and running and couldn't. Barry O'Farrell/Mike Baird got it sorted within 12 months of being in power.

Westconnex has NOT been flying along.
As far as labour goes. Im not happy they are doing the whole "Oh because people are unhappy with the amount spend on stadiums were against everything" Especially when Foley was originally all for ANZ rebuild and only against SFS. f**king stupid extremes.

You mean the opal system that was still not working properly on buses in 2016.
You mean the opal system that raises train prices across the board.
You mean the opal system that removed weekly/monthly discounts.
You mean the opal system that is worse than the Melbourne & Brisbane equivalent?
That opal system?

Well Pete is going nuts for this:

He’s been talking & tweeting non stop about it.

Makes me think they’re worried a backflip is coming.

Honestly if Gladys backflips I think that’s the end of her premiership, she’ll be seen as extremely weak. Especially after all the other backflips on greyhounds & council mergers.

The backflips mean they are actually listening to people. Not a bad thing from a govt to admit they could have got things wrong.
The stadium issue is different. Our stadiums have always been shit and the new Parramatta will prove this and ensure we can actually catch up with the rest of the civilised world with at least, a proper rectangular stadium on a decent scale, not some bastardised piece of shit to keep the filthy Vics happy. I don't hear Cricket Australia fighting against this, yet in the background, the AFL is pulling strings via Tony Shephard nd the Trust. He knows that this is a kick (1 point) ahead for the AFL if ANZ doesn't go ahead and become rectangular.
They will have f**ked the NRL with Grand Finals going elsewhere, while the AFL will get to play a semi final or two there over a decade.
f**k the politicians in this state are stupid and selfish.

What is worse, ANZ would have been fine post Olympics had they gone with the original plan to make it a rectangular stadium post Olympic. It was only the AFL offering a few million $ to keep it as "multi-purpose" and the ALP bent over backwards to accommodate them. Bob Carr never cared about sport, whilst Ian Macdonald was well know as being one of the biggest AFL supporters around when he was in the NSW Parliament.

That said, this Government has stuffed it up because of Stuart Ayres changing the plan and also the prioritising of the SFS over ANZ.

Listening is good, but you need to do it before major decisions sometimes. And sometimes you need to stick to your guns because you have more infomation than the punters.

But most people actually supported the greyhound ban, it’s just a small vocal group was against it.

She is weak, she will backflip, and Ayres & The Trust will get exactly what they wanted.

Beattie shouldn't be trying to sell Ayres stadium policy, he should be trying to sell the NRL's stadium policy. Change the narrative back to east vs west, the NRL don't care about Allianz, so why should we defend it.

I get the sense that’s what Beattie is doing, all his talk has been about ANZ.
