Why even bother with the 1 game though?

Real roots of Wests are in Lidcombe & Ashfield.

Lidcombe and Ashfield don't have anywhere to host a game. You keep the game because you should always celebrate and remember your history, of where you come from. You use the game to recognise what the Magpies brought to the Joint Venture and the game.

Mate, I posted one the other day which was taken about 3 weeks ago.
I haven't been down there since then but will try to take some more pics in the next week or so.
Any other photos I find online will also be posted here.

I meant something more like a training ground in Liverpool with a much longer term aspiration of a stadium.
The club has committed itself to Concord now with the funding for the their new COE there. I doubt that Wests Ashfield would allow them to move the training and admin of the club to Liverpool.

Homebush is right next to Lidcombe if your talking about taking games to where your roots are. All games at Parra if you ask me. Look at the pic in the above post. WOW

I just don't see the point of multiple grounds in one city. I doubt the cows will play games at 1800smiles when they get the new stadium.

Townsville is a fraction of the size of Sydney, and is not a merged team. If the North Queensland Cowboys were a merger of teams from Cairns and Townsville, they’d probably split their games.

Likewise, if a major sponsor bought 1300 Smiles Stadium and offered the Cowboys a ton of money to play six games a season there next year they probably still would, regardless of what the crowds want. Why do you think the Bulldogs play in front of 8,000 at ANZ instead of at Belmore?

I cant see the comparison between two Sydney grounds and two grounds in Cairns and Townsville. Thats ridiculous.
The dogs play at Homebush for the money but also the facilities for the fans and sponsors. They ave 13k at Homebush this year and 8k at Belmore contrary to your stat.
The old stadiums are dead,

A few games at the old stadiums doesn’t hurt, throw the traditionalists a bone. But the tigers should be looking at a minimum of 8/9 games at WSS.

It hurts when you're a club with no money. The dogs would have run those two games at a loss, luckily they are rich enough to carry that but the tigers cant.
The tigers are also a split identity. Train at Concord, club at Ashfield and play at three venues in Sydney. They need to try and find themselves. We're been trying to please Wests Tigers fans, Wests fans and Balmain fans for 19 seasons. I think its time to become one club.

If the members want a few games there that does have money considerations. If they’re less likely to renew their membership because they feel they aren’t being listened to, it will directly impact the bottom line.

The game itself might run at a loss, but what’s the cost of unhappy members?

Anyway I broadly agree with your point, 9 games at WSS will make it their clear home ground. It’s a definite improvement over their current situation.

I agree 100%. I want the Tigers playing at WSS, just want to see 1 return to Leichhardt and Campbelltown game for each venue each year. Use these games as the days you build the history and passion for the past of the club.

True, the current set up is ridiculous. 5 home grounds! Who does that?

Tigers should forget about pleasing fans from teams that stopped existing 20 years ago and start thinking about what is best for the Wests Tigers.
