Getting close...……
Holy shit. Can not wait to get to some games there this year.
Getting close...……
Or the deal?
If a "shed load" is spent on it, it will be with the idea of making it not a white elephant, but instead a good large rectangle stadium. This is the concern. If they spend a shed load on ANZ then they will want tenants there so it isnt seen as a massive white elephant. I can see Souths and Bulldogs being offered some very generous deals to stay using it as their home ground.

Won't Wenty's direct affiliation with Parra stand in the way of that?
Less likely to be 3/4 empty if it's a big rectangular Stadium. It'll still be crap 3/4 empty
LOL and how could you (or anyone) possibly know that? It'll still be crap 3/4 empty
but what about your corner seats?whenever you post Suity, I get a hard on.
Please keep posting mate........

If it’s still a 70k to 75k stadium then of course it’ll only be 1/4 (say 18k) to 1/3 full (say 23k) for the vast majority of games we play there. Bulldog and Bunny crowds ain’t going to triple or even just double in anywhere near the short term. That’s just not being realistic.LOL and how could you (or anyone) possibly know that?
he's not happy unless he's complaining

You seem obsessed by having smaller stadia, it's odd.If it’s still a 70k to 75k stadium then of course it’ll only be 1/4 (say 18k) to 1/3 full (say 23k) for the vast majority of games we play there. If there was any way to negotiate with the new government a cheaper substitute for the ANZ upgrade, both clubs would be better served by leaving ANZ untouched and getting a new smaller Parra style stadium at Olympic Park. For less than half the $810m budgeted for ANZ they could build a 30k-32k venue. Both clubs get a more intimate proper club game sized stadium and the government gets to tout massive savings.
