Any transport initiative is positive. Considering that a lot of the negative comments concentrate on poor public transport options to the stadium, I thought it was relevant.
If you want to take a glass half empty approach, that's your prerogative.
I don't think it's cheerleading to recognise the work that's gone into the NW metro.

Its certainly cheerleading if the claim is that NSW ahead of the pace of QLD when they are looking to contribute a small % of works (if any) to an already existing project.

Suity's claim was that NSW is leading the way with infrastructure projects, given the amount of work going on around stadia, rail and motorways I don't think you can dispute that?

(and i'm not even a liberal voter)

His claim was directly related to Robina Stadium, the light rail and the Tweed Heads area, where they are no further ahead of the "pace" then QLD.

Yes it was directly related to Robina Stadium, but the line itself said the NSW govt is going gangbusters on infrastructure, which was intended as a larger context comment, and it's completely true.

Congrats on being a mind reader, Liberal party cheerleader

Don't bother mate.
I indeed was posting a link to which I thought was a positive bit of info with regards to (future) transport links to Robina. Clearly, it's been taken as an attack on QLD, which wasn't my intention at all.
I just thought it would be informative considering transport options to Robina are pretty shite atm.

It’s a shame Bankwest couldn’t be open prior to the election to show some swinging or undecided voters what the new stadium upgrades could look like

And, he got it right, and he's neither a mind reader nor a Liberal Party cheerleader.
Credit where credit is due in NSW. Infrastructure spending in NSW is going gangbusters.
If not for the likes of Bandana Head and the stupidly negative Opposition, we'd be getting a couple of extra decent RL stadiums as well.

You're right. The state govt need to get heaps of pics and publicity out there before the election to show what they have achieved. They seem really hopeless at that

Apologies the above video doesn't work properly and can be seen full screen. Maybe someone can fix the link up 'cause it's sure worth watching.

They’re beyond hopeless at communication.

For instance the benefits of converting the Bankstown line to metro have hardly been touched on. Little wonder so many people are puzzled why you’d convert it.

Brisbane 2032 Olympic bid takes another step.

https://www.9news.com.au/2019/02/21/18/04/queensland-news-brisbane-olympics-bid-one-step-closer

NRL need to monitor this, they’ll need tp build a new stadium if the bid is a successful, which isn’t that far fetched if the bid goes ahead. Less & less cities are biding.

Anyway the question comes up should the NRL push for the the Olympic stadium to be converted into a rectangular stadium post the games? Suncorp would be close to 30 years old by then.

Of course one option for the Queensland govt could be rebuilding the Gabba, in which case you wouldn’t get it converted.

I have literally never voted for the Liberal party my entire life. But cool story.
Politics is so fractured that if you offer the slightest bit of praise for anyone you’re automatically in the tank for them.

And we wonder why things are so hard to get done.

Timmah and his f**k buddy are the ones who politicised it by trying to say one state was lagging behind the other in respect of the Gold Coast Light Rail, when it was a blatant lie.
