Here's a good timelapse of BC Place in Vancouver

That is a much better method with having a sail shade roof bringing the roof line down to a more intimate mode. Is that what they are planning? If it is I could see that working if it brings it down to the 30k mark.

Looks like the nine tenants all want club mode with the three biggest users (Roosters, Tahs and Sydney FC) all wanting a multi-mode curtain (i.e. and LED one). Currently there is budget for no curtain of any kind although one can be retrofitted in the future.

This leaves possibly a handful of games a year when the curtain would be lifted

1. Roosters vs Dragons Anzac Day
2. Sydney FC v WSW Derby
3. Rugby Tests
4. Finals game involving the Rabbitohs and the Roosters

I'm a Doggies season tciket holder and even though it will take me extra time to get to Bankwest I want all our games there. I'm excited to go to a stadium where a atmosphere can be created after spending so long in the morgue at Homebush. Even after the renovations I'd like to stay there.

I'm not sure if you remember. We play a full season out of there in 1995. A lot of the fans didn't agree. I suspect the novelty would be great to start with, but after some time the fans would drop off in a big way. Bit like the return the Belmore games where it was the flavour of the month, now you need the right conditions to ensure a decent crowd.

That depends if it is a much better game day experience than is offered at ANZ. An extra 15-20mins travel might be much more appealing than the sht house experience that is ANZ.

In 2019, why are we playing at cricket grounds?!! Surely the NRL can’t make it a requirement that games are played at a rectangle ground.

The issue as I understand it is the roosters don’t feel the corporate facilities are adequate at other possible grounds.

Leichhardt is where I would’ve had them play, bad luck to the corporates.

Fans I've talked to are keen for North Sydney for out-of-town opposition and poor timeslots.
