The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Saw something in today's terrorgraph this morning at the coffee shop that expansion of spotless stadium is part of the plan for western Sydney! Are they for real? The least favourite football team in Sydney getting more handouts.

Surely it's Thunder who are going to see the real benefit of that? With a growing population of immigrants from the sub continent living in the cities west it's not a stupid idea either.

Only clubs could find a way to be pissed off with getting 1.6bn worth of new stadiums.

When 3 separate clubs from 3 different codes are all on the same wavelength it tells me they're on to something.

Those clubs are all happy with the sensible option of a 400m upgrade to Allianz if the parklands proposal is impossible.

Seems like a reasonable position to me.

Roosters , Sydney FC & Waratahs combine to oppose a new stadium on current site

http://bit.ly/23obArT

Ayres has pretty much managed to piss off every club in Sydney.

Beyond parody now.

:lol::lol::lol:

Looks like those 3 clubs did a deal with the devil and thought they would get a new stadium and stay in Alliance while it was being built.

Now they have 2 choices,
1. Stop the new stadium from being built and ask for a refurb
2. Get displaced to ANZ by the same guy they did the deal with...

Good on the Moore park tenants for putting this out in the open together, I was hoping for a reaction like this tbh. Ayers has been playing all sorts of games through various media outlets to the point were everyone was confused by the mis-information and fluid story. Now he is getting what he and the trust deserve for lying and deceiving everyone in Sydney.

Now lets get on with the real progress for the game at Homebush. The only money that should be spent on Moore park is to improve the roof coverage or fully enclose the ground as well as some moderate improvements to the facilities. Really the SFS is not too far off being a great stadium, its just the location that puts most people off.

Earlier I said Ayres had gone rogue & today's events confirm it.

He's been promising things behind the premiers back that he can't deliver , fail to see how he can keep his job.

This will be great if it ends up happening.

I wonder if the ARLC have an eye on ownership > AFL/Docklands

More pics from the ANZ Stadium website

and 3 modes
Intimate Mode-20,000
Big Game Mode-35,000
Major Event Mode -75,000

This is what we are looking at in the 35,000 mode.

Woooooooooooooow...

This is what Stadium Austraalia should have looked like as of 2001.

(Id like to see the Intimate Mode setting. Do they close the North/South entirely or limit the crowd to the bottom bowl?)

Edit: the Blue/White seating is what i was talking about 20ish pages ago. Broken designs make sparce crowds far less noticable.
- Green/Gold would be better though

The intimate mode setting is shown in the 2nd picture with the big "TRY TIME" projection ok the top tier. You can see all the top tiers right around the stadium are covered in blue

Both as incompetent as each other.Peas in pod.Execpt Burbs could drink him under the table.

I dont get the roosters crying about having to move away for 3 years when they are going to get a world class stadium.

As if they would move to ANZ full time.

Worked out well for North Sydney hey?

Only clubs could find a way to be pissed off with getting 1.6bn worth of new stadiums.

Why should they sacrifice fans and bottom line, potentially years of damage (or worse, again, see Norths for evidence) to get a stadium they don't actually want? f**k the 'greater good'.

If this wasn't an ego project for the sports minister he'd build what the users actually want rather than the my-way-or-the-highway attitude he's taking now.

Can you see anyone outside the government getting away with this?

Looks like I have another new fan lol. Victorian, what are you twelve?
No but your obsession with crowds, when the money is in TV, makes you one the dumbest people on this forum, your not even a Victorian, an even more geniused cousin. Go Follow VFL. The disgrace of Australia.

Wanker.

Fwiw I'd love a brand spanking new stadium. It'd be lovely.

But
- Its construction may cause irreparable damage to my club due to forced move
- The existing stadium is adequate and 90% of the same goals could be achieved by upgrade rather than rebuild
- ANZ needs the bulk of the cash far more, as it is completely inadequate for rectangular sports/everything

So, why?
