The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Looks like a great site and being so close to the train line would suit both Dogs and Tigers supporters perfectly. These are the types of locations the NRL should be seeking to build stadiums at. Were the people are and even more importantly, right by a train station. If they get that right then the stadiums should be a success.
Worse luck this proposal seems to be already getting bagged by Wests Tigers fans as it is apparently Dogs territory.

I think Liverpool makes a lot of sense for a stadium, but georgraphically, if you wanted Saints, Sharks, Dogs and Wests to share a stadium, Kelso Park at East Hills would be a great location.

Right on the M5, close to East Hills station.

It sits right at the perfect juncture of all 4 local areas. A721F25C-328D-4DB2-BAA1-9230F42D61E5.jpeg
Not much around to do... but geographically great.

Yes just had a look at it on a maps site and does seem like it would be in a great place to service all 3 or 4 clubs. As long as it is 5 mins or so of a train station, then it is worth looking at. Anything further from a train station and it becomes tedious and fans drop right off, especially in the colder/wetter winter months.

I think Liverpool JRLFC's are in the Wests comp ?

Would Wests Tigers supporters be ok with 8 games at Liverpool with 4 at LO. Gives the Leichhardt faithful an extra game and rest at a purpose built stadium. With 12 Canterbury games would give it 20 club games a year some what justify a build. Potentially more if the new soccer team move there, although I think they have a deal with Campbelltown council.

re Kelso

That won’t ever happen. All the local kids soccer, footy and cricket goes there. Dog walkers, runners...it’s community space.
Residents will never allow it. Nor Panania Diggers.

Great spot though.

The Whitlam corner at Livo is a much better option.

Yeah agree it will never happen for all the reasons you mentioned. It just geographically would be a perfect south/south west hub.

Liverpool would attract dogs, tigers, and maybe the occasional other game, where as East Hills would tempt dragons and sharks

that said...I think there is enough land there for both stadium and local recreation, Plus Panania Diggers would probably love 25,000 arriving every weekend with nowhere much else for a pre-game beer and schnitzel!

I don’t dislike your idea.

That said we play most of our junior cricket there so I don’t want ambience ruined.

Liverpool to me has always been the cross roads for 3 jnr districts (canterbury/Wests/Parra). I played for Moorebank in the early 90’s and always found it interesting during trial games up to u16’s we would travel not that far to play teams in the west’s and parra comps, but then travel twice as far to play teams in our own competition (Revesby, St Chrisso’s, Enfield).

Most Wests Tigers fans online want the Tigers to play at ANZ for some strange reason.

Or you could say it is 25km from Cronulla, 25km from Campbelltown or Balmain, 15km from Kogarah and that it might not work for anyone besides Canterbury.

Over ANZ for club games if it stays in its current configuration. As a bunnies season ticket holder would rather travel further out from Maroubra to Bankwest then continue to play at ANZ.

Yep, they claim that they don't want to play at Parramatta's stadium, it ridiculous and no reasoning changes that opinion.

How long are Souths and Wests contracted to ANZ?

So 2021...
ANZ a game each week?
Souths 11 games
Dogs 8 games
Wests 6 games

Will anyone besides Parra play at BankWest?
