So that would put the pledge at $200mil, and i think the local council is meant to make up the rest...

Itd be shit if the Libs didnt match it and we lost the stadium
.

Well, it looks like the Libs have decided no to fund the stadium.

So if we want a NQLD stadium, Labor need to win...

They could if they didn't throw over a billion towards the Commonwealth games on the GC.....

I agree. It eventually needs to be done, but ANZ Stadium must be top priority.
Here is some Hi Res images of the proposal for the SFS (55,000)

It's ashame it didn't go ahead. ANZ stadium trust have the money to fund their upgrade themselves and a stadium at Moore Park like that would put the rocket up ANZST to fund it ASAP or risk becoming completely obsolete.

Even if ANZ had the money, why would they bother?
The stadium lease expires in 14 years and they have to hand the stadium back to the NSW Govt for free!
Sydney wouldve ended up with a modern 55,000 seat venue, basically the same size as Adelaide and Brisbane and too small for Grand Finals,Origin etc and too big for Roosters,Sydney FC etc

The end result is correct,a spectacular complete rebuild of ANZ Stadium seating 75,000.

Strange how they picked souths for the images, trying to attract a new old tenant maybe?

It looks like it could have been great but with finances limited the correct decision has been made, fingers crossed the state find some extra cash down a sofa somewhere and we can have all three but I won't hold my breath.

I'm not sure, but 'Presentation to STGI and Souths' would suggest to me they were trying to woo them back, and therefore included images of them as an example.

That's right. A failed attempt to attract committed Tennant's so the expenditure could be justified.

Looks pretty but it's a good outcome for league that both clubs stuck to their guns
