Which would be bigger with a better stadium in a better location with restaurants/pubs and other amenities within walking distance.

Glad we agree.
I was only pointing out the difference between the raiders and the chooks

blah blah blah

Stay on topic please.

Would it be a weird idea if the roofing of the current canberra stadium had big heaters?
I mean the pubs i go to have these little roofing heaters that really work well, wondering if there's ever been a stadium that has implemented anything dodgy as large heating panels?

The Qatar stadiums are air conditioned so dont see why you couldn’t heat one.

in fact you can

All the heat would dissipate long before it reached the inner bowl, which is where you’d need it the most because it’s the most exposed and where the majority of the crowd is seated.

Not sure, but im sure if they tried something other than waiting on a new built roofed stadium somewhere, sometime etc,
Im sure it could make a bit of difference, if they tried

Sure, but anything that could make a significant difference would cost a fortune in of it’s self.

The best thing you could do to Bruce is build wind breaks and enclose the ends, maybe try to build coverage over more of the seats as well (that probably isn’t feasible without a knockdown rebuild though). But as I said before, any or all of that is going to cost a fortune and if a new stadium is on the cards (which it isn’t ATM mind you) it’d be better to save the money for that.

As an aside, another thing that would help is if the NRL produced proper winter gear as well.

I think a lot of people, particularly from out of town, wouldn’t struggle with the conditions as much if they could get branded club gear that was actually designed for the conditions.

Yeh good point, I bought some patriots jackets in the states and they are super warm! Not needed them in perth though lol.

Haha what an event. It is pretty ironic that the biggest stadium spend will be for the benefit of a club that has a low supporter base
It's not just for them tbh.

Sydney FC and NSW Waratahs will play all of their games there too.

It was a long overdue rebuild.

I went there regularly for all three codes and thought it was an emergency hazard just waiting to happen.

The lack of emergency exits being the main problem.

It was well documented too that there was a severe lack of women's toilets in the old stadium too.
