I don’t think WA is hostile territory at all. Most engagements I have had with a West Australian on the topic of RL is rather neutral.

Until they perceive it as a threat.

I'd be neutral about AFL too if we were the undisputed Gorilla in the jungle. Why bother with chimps when you can eat all the bananas you want and lay all the best tooty fruity ass there is on offer?

I mean they make you look good right? Every star needs a ugly thuggly roughie rock to look good by comparison.

I don’t think AFL fans look at it that way. Why would an Eagles or Dockers fan feel threatened by a Perth RL team?

They're not. One of my mates who is an Eagles member is coming around on Sunday to earth the gf. He came to Origin with me last year.

This 'hostility' doesn't exist.
