They should be getting between 6-8 NRL games a season as it is and who knows what the future holds in terms of a potential Perth bears team which could be either playing ”home” games at the central coast stadium or maybe even a few “away” games against Sydney clubs at the stadium.

We could also maybe see the waratahs set up camp on the central coast the way super rugby is going 😂😂
Remember stadium got built for the bears then they merged with manly then were killed off

Bears would gave stayed yes.

Penrith were next in line btw

The NRL wanted 2 teams gone, and expected it with mergers/takeovers.

They expected the Tigers to go away with a merger with the Eels, a 'Western Harbour' team

They expected the Western Bulldogs playing out of Liverpool.

That would have been it, to 14.

When the Tigers and Magpies come together, it was only one gone.

Norths were next by criteria. Had they had the 'regional' element with CC, Penrith would be gone

The sin of the criteria was trying to drop to 14

A few years later we returned to 16

Brent Read on the DT is pushing for Shark Park upgrade since Leichhardt got $40m.

obviously someone at Cronulla is in his ear for a story but the difference between Leichhardt and Shark Park is one is community owned while the other is privately owned and for use of the Sharks and whoever the Sharks lease the ground too. The Sharks also decided to sell the land gifted to them for development, so there is no way they should be getting tax payers money, and good luck in this economic environment that a privately owned organisation is getting millions of dollars for a hand out. Sharks also have a lot of land and investments they can draw down on

Looks like clubs are coming around to making more event games at the new sfs.
3 games over 3 days involving sydney clubs at allianz during indigenous round.

A step in the right direction, also mentioned was the government and venuesnsw being more involved and want to make more event games between their stadiums including an anzac eve game at the sfs between souths and manly.
