The lower level would have a very shallow rake. Not ideal.
Not sure what you base that on.
The 2019 redevelopment plan lower level rake would have been increased to the same level as Suncorp and Allianz.

15-20k: Coopers (Hindmarsh) has great atmosphere and charm….shame it’s so landlocked.

Hindmarsh is a soccer venue in similar ways to its UK counterparts.
From a Rugby League perspective, its a terrible venue as its way too short.
Overall field dimensions are only 118m,which means there is not enough space for the ingoal area and runoff.
Crashing into the advertising hoardings would be a common occurrence in the modern game and expect some horrific injuries.

Not much Rugby League has been played there, but the old Adelaide Rams played a few home games there back in their time.

If they were ever thinking of an Adelaide team it would not be hard or expensive to make some changes at the ends.

In the short to mid term, if the NRL take a few games to Adelaide, then it has to held at Adelaide Oval. Purely for safety reasons, due to Hindmarsh Stadium's small or non existent ingoal areas.

If games were to be played at Hindmarsh, they need to sacrifice a few front rows of seating on either end so that it could increase the field dimension length and therefore incorprate the ingoals.

Then they have to find ways to increase capacity of the venue in this landlocked location.

Top Australian Stadiums to attend and view Rugby League in based on expected attendance.

20,000 -Central Coast Stadium, Gosford NSW
A stack of Sydney venues (with grass hills) at this size, but as for overall quality, Gosford is fantastic and easily the most picturesque!.Its a pity its not used more regularly by the NRL.

25,000 -Townsville Stadium, Townsville QLD
Robina, Gold Coast second, then a huge gap to Canberra.

30,000 -CommBank Stadium, Parramatta NSW
Pretty competitive at this size, with AAMI and Newcastle, but Commbank is another level.

40,000 -Allianz Stadium, Sydney NSW
No contest

50,000 -Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane QLD
No contest

60,000+ -ACCOR Stadium, Sydney, NSW
MCG and Optus only remaining in this range and made exclusively for Cricket and fumbleball. They are both millions miles away from a Rugby League field.
AAMI, CBUS... Accor isn't rectangular

The Rams moved there in their second year. They obviously found a way. We had season tickets and loved the change of venue, and the atmosphere. As you can see from the video it’s had a lot of work with new grandstands…its real decent!

There is only really one stadium in the country that is between 35K-40K and its the AFL Stadium at Kardinia Park,Geelong.
Dont think the Storm have ever played an NRL game there.
They’ve played at least one trial there, despite Kardinia being fairly narrow for an AFL ground the sightlines were still bog average.

Both are 20,000 all seater venues.
Personally ,the Western Grandstand at HBF looks terrible.
Maybe its heritage listed but it will look better if they ripped that down and rebuilt something like the Eastern Stand.

While that stand remains, Gosford for me.

If your team is getting walloped , you can always take in the view to get your mind off the scoreboard.

You ranked the best RL grounds in Australia and included Central Coast but not AAMI or CBUS.
I actually ranked the best RL grounds based on capacity.
Central Coast is not up against ACCOR or AAMI.
Use a boxing analogy and we have Lightweight(20,000) or Middleweight(40,000) or Heavyweight(60,000+) categories.
For AAMI as an example, its in the 30,000 category up against Commbank and Newcastle.
Commbank Wins.

Fair call, pitch length aside Hindmarsh is by far the best 15-20k stadium.
