I think it probably is worse to be honest, and when DRS is not used, they're perhaps not comfortable - so in a way India's fault. DRS should eliminate howlers, and generally does - but has resulted in some strange stuff, and then of course you get the situation where some selfish merkin like Watson uses the referrals only for someone lower down the order to get a howler and have no recourse... anyway, it is what it is

In saying that, Pujara, Dhawan and Rahane aren't likely to have been part of the decision making anyway - so I feel for them a bit, that being said it's always been part of cricket...

Who is the Brayshaw clown anyway?

I don't want to criticise smith too much in his first game but surely Johnson or haze could have pulled another over instead of feeding kohli a bowler like starc.

Starc just floating them up, just can't seem to find that in-between length, he's a much better white ball bowler.

DRS is a perfectly good system put in place to remove howlers from the game.

India refuse to use it and these are the consequences for them.
Zero sympathy.

100% this.

Don't whinge when you cop a bad decision when there is a system in place to get rid of the umpiring shocker.

I can't tolerate this Brayshaw merkin. In tandem with Healy it's an absolute derpfest.

I really miss Bill, Richie and Greigy.

lol What could he possibly be arguing against?

I didn't hear it 100% because I had to take a phone call from a client with the worst timing, but at one stage he said something about disrupting the flow of a game. Also mentioned something about the ball tracking technology.

He couldn't change the subject fast enough, I didn't catch the name of the Australian commentator on with him at the moment.

Flight path is grossly inaccurate.

But DRS can still be used to determine whether an lbw appeal pitched & hit in line, and also to check for inside edges. And that's just lbws.

It should be used. India only have themselves to blame.
