Rogers wont be dropped for Cowan.

Watson is the best No.3 in country at moment.

With Clarke injured Smith should move to 4. Shaun Marsh at 5. That's where he bats for WA.

Lol Watson the best no.3 in Australia??

Unfortunately there isn't much competition

Alex "I'm hopeless" Doolan is the only other option. Reality is lets be frank for a second, Jake Doran (long-term meaning 3+ years) is that number 3.

Peter Handscomb I wouldn't be against picking though.

They won't make any changes unless they are forced. All the players were dealing emotionally and the selectors should give them a few tests to regain focus.

Haddin to captain in thr absence of Clarke. Smithy isn't there quite yet.

I agree, with Marsh and Haze playing, they wont make any further changes.

I really cant see Sids getting a run over Haze at the Gabba

Siddle shouldn't feel to hard done by when he eventually gets dropped,he's been pretty lucky that James Pattinson,Pat Cummins,Jackson Bird etc etc keep getting injured.

Siddle has hopefully plodded through his last test, the Dave gilbert of his generation that has somehow played this many games. He's been lucky that our young quicks are made of glass.

Nah don't remember that, but do remember everyone calling me a troll when i said that Warner reacted to a non sledge/non send off from Aaron and that Dhawan was actually the one causing the most trouble

Nek Minnit

Warner 15% fine,Kohli 30% fine,Dhawan 30% fine,no fine for Aaron.

No need to apologise fellas,i forgive you all.

Handscomb is nowhere near up to it. Plenty are ahead of him including Joe Burns. Handscomb couldn't bat at 3 in tests.

Burns is opening for qld- although he could bat 3. Handscombactually is a number 3 bat, stupidly being played at 5. Non idea why as his first season he batted at 3.

I never get the constant Shane Watson hate, achieving a test career double of batting avg. 35 / bowling avg. 32 is a very solid career. Sure its frustrating he doesn't convert starts, but he can certainly play. Not to mention his body is made of glass and is forced to keep fighting his way back from injury.

He's no Kallis or Botham, but name me players currently in Australia clearly better than him.

Not a test 3 though. Best years in test cricket well behind him, they were probably when he opened with Katich. Should be competing with Marsh for 6 spot.

India right in this IMO

Heard on ABC radio this morning Starc and SMarsh will be in the test squad for Brisbane

Marsh will replace Clarke
They seemed to think Starc for Siddle

Wonder what happened to Hazlewood?

It is an extended squad. Starc is cover for Harris specifically as back to back tests are an issue with him.
