Also, it be good if Houston could offload now and then.
On last nights game.. Gagai was up against form centre in the comp. Yeah that guy that shut down Inglis and Hodges in Origin. I thought Gagai had it all over him last night. Morris made 11 tackles and missed 6. That must be a season high for him for miss tackles.

Its one of those things, there is a time and a place for it, but it cant be the "go to play"

I remember joey once saying the best option for a line break was a quick swing of the ball to Gids to get him "one on one" with the defender. The faster the ball got there, the more time and space he had.

Just throwing the ball out there with no regard for setting up the inside defence wont help though.

Just read in the daily tele the poor guy is on 20k a year at knights :lol:

That is some bargain you guys picked up this year.
Seriously 20k a year how can he even live of that I know he was given a second chance but should have at least got a 40k contract ffs.

Yeah, remember he only came halfway through the year. And it will be bumped up considerably next year.

Actually there's a kid in the Broncs NYC team that would make a very good hooker. A great replacement for Buderus.

I daresay Gagai was offered such a low contract not because of second-tier salary cap space, but because Newcastle had to be sure that he would have as little impact as possible on the main salary cap. We only get $250,000 to spend on guys stepping up from outside the top 25 players, and a fair chunk of that would have already been eaten up by players like Kev, Tets, Mason, Adams, Filipo and even perhaps Roberts.

He'll play for QLD within 2 years. Hope he falls in love with the place enough to want to be a 10 year Knight.

We'll get him again whilst Bennett is still here.

He needs a big deal soon, just to lock him in.

I'd like to see them wrap up Aku and Gagai ASAP on new long term deals, they have a great combination going.

i cant believe hes one of the rare centres that knows how to pass these days. it should be a BASIC skill, like walking

That's the thing though.. centres in the lower grades dominate cause of their size so they think they don't have to learn to pass. Once they reach first grade they are in for shock. They can't simply run over players.

precisely the point

even if they learn the technique, they dont learn the subtleties (to create that crucial yard) which have to be developed from a young age. but when i see under 7s at the local park it's just all about running
