If we don't sign him we are taking a massive gamble on a bloke that has never played a first grade game (Lazarus). I just hope we don't waste our dosh on a mediorce prop that is use to being paid overs - ie Ben Ross.

shannon has deserved a contract for a very long time now, when he does get one he will step up again. Apparently he works for toll loading trucks or some sh*t... What a waste of talent.

Nick... Can't wait to see ur update on sheens quotes lol was good to see him eat his words the grub

Im sure WT management said they would be making a decission on Gallants future in the next couple of weeks, which it has now been. Im wondering if they are stalling and hoping he has a sh*t game so they can try justify not signing him. He has saved tries scored tries and also made tries in all his last 3 games, what else does he need to do ? The guy is a rare talent so cut the crap and dam sign him up.

Oh, how I'd like a few searching questions be put to Teflon and not let him escape with weasel words and the questioner expect a in depth answer. And follow up with 'yes, but......'

The worst part of things is that Tim Sheens is a nice guy but he is not infallible and he has made some bad mistakes / errors in judgement that have hurt WT over the years. I have no dount he is trying to do what he thinks is right BUT NO-ONE HOLDS HIM ACCOUNTABLE when things do not work and they let him slip away without the serious questions and answers.

T be honest I wasnt to keen on the little guy when he first hit the top grade but, since then this guy has turned me around what i like most is his kick return and his positional play and the guy has speed to burn ....SIGN HIM NOW!!!!!

You'd have to be a barking imbecile to not see that Gallant was the best Fullback in the club after Hodgo left. Or you must rarely, if ever, watch the Magpies.

Every time I've seen him play for the Magpies he's stood out. A few years back when they were getting hammered by 50 every week, he'd often have 2 or 3 against his name and he had 4 on more than one occasion. He talks all game, his positioning is very good and a few months back he pulled off the best tackle I have seen since Satts in '03. A rangy backrower broke through the line 20 metres out and stepped inside to Shannon's right. Shannon did a 180 to his left, chased and banged the backrower into the post, saving a certain try.

The only thing that has held him back, I believe anyway, is his height, which will be tested to the limit by Manly on Monday I reckon.

Reports stated he`s on a $20,000 a season contract with us/Wests Magpies at the moment, he plays more like a $200,000 per season player, that`s for sure and certain !
