Sam Thaiday has not been on Brisbanes pay roll for 2 years. Entire salary is from TPP. Excluding minimum payment required by players union of course.
Ya reckon Gals not doing the same?

I seen one of his TPP's Thaiday was getting paid for basically nothing, and the role was closely associated to one of the companies Broncs board member involved with

That’s a bullshit amount really.

It shouldn't be anything. Just lets rich clubs further stack their rosters and poach from other clubs.

Clubs that already have everything going for them are likely to have more "veterans" and more "developed" players, get a discount on them and they can just steal those players more easily from struggling clubs.

A bit like TPAs.

Thankfully $200k is such a small amount it shouldn't unbalance things too much, but hopefully it disappears soon.

Well , that's how it works. We are doing the same as is everybody. Storm would be the biggest culprit because the owner is a rorter of everything.

Gals on plenty more than $200k
Not sure if you were joking, but the $200K is the part that doesn’t count towards the salary cap. So, let’s say he’s on $600K, only 400 counts toward the cap...

Yeah, the point was that I’d be surprised if we could generate the tpps where any player was ‘off the books’ even with the long term player allowance. I love all gals but the tpp can be used on others like graham...so gal does have an impact on the cap.

When he said 'I'll see what Flanno wants' you knew it was his way of saying he's staying on.

Flanno ad nauseum for 3 years has left it to Gal, as if anything was going to change this week.

I hope he is off the bench next year. Much better if he finished this year on a high note than bang on into next year. Ah well...

Yeah, first 20 of each half would be good. Love him to death, but we don't want 4th tackle runs in the 78th minute and 2 points behind...

If we are in a close match , there is no way gallen doesnt finish the match. I think he should have retired. I'll believe next year is his last year when he announces his retirement.

I was against it earlier in the season but changed my mind a couple of months ago.
Put it in perspective, he is a lot better than Ava. Jack Williams (the forward) will be the one to eventually take his spot, More So than Prior, IMO.
