I just heard on the radio police are considering pressing charges against Gallen who was last night involved in a pub brawl.

Anyone know the details?

The Sharks are looking into reports of a complaint against one of their senior players on Sunday evening.

While the club has interviewed Paul Gallen in relation to the claims made to a number of media outlets, there also remain aspects that will require further investigation.

Sharks Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tony Zappia, said today that he would welcome the police establishing all facts, adding that it would not be possible for the club or the player to make any further comment until that time.

Zappia said that the Sharks would not condone anti social behaviour by any player, nor would the club pre-judge an incident solely on the basis of an accusation.

it was just a scuffle, the guy has conveniently added the eye gouging claim as Gallen has a history of it,

he will get a slap on the wrist!!!!

anyone hear him on tv.... sound slike a bit of a dobber.... oh well only heard one side of the story.....if he is guilty and did what he says then there will be witnesses and he will get what he deserves, however if he is found not guilty this tool on channel 10 should get done for defamation (sp).....

funny how trouble attracts trouble

gallen has done nothing wrong - even footage backs that up

one party was embarrassed and decided to throw all his toys out of the cot and then whinge about it

Unprovoked, mmmm, so many of these assaults are, when only one side of the story ia presented. Two sides to every story isn't there? He admits having words with one of Gallens mates.

What the f**k was our bloke doing at a bar during the offseason ?????

What was he trying to have a life.

How dare he try to act like a young bloke and be socialising and drinking alcohol at a bar damm it.

Rip up his contract now I say. Shoot the ingrate. (check spellun')

He is a blight on society as a whole.

I hope for our sake that this scuffle took place in a designated non smoking area outside of the establishment....

Why us all the time.... why ?? why ??? why ????

It's a shame that incident didn't occur in QLD> Through the course of my studying it has come to my attention that provocation is a complete defence in QLD for battery. Considering he was hit first, it is likely he could have gotten off scott free.

i want to know why the guys hand was bandaged?

maybe the wrist - but not the hand

Hey if one punch can result in 2 black eyes, a broken nose and a fractured cheekbone, then why can't a headlock and eye gouge result on a broken wrist?
