Probably Bird for now. Then Hilder would have to be when his injury is right.:pray:Anyhow lets hope Gallen will be alright.

I think Birds defence is great and his footwork even better. He just needs to use them at the right time.

the club loves bird

always had potential just never lived up to anything before other than being a tool

if he's best man for the job then picking the team on form should apply to him too
... dammit

We have heaps of options, one thing our club isn't short of is backrowers, will probably be bird, we still have hilder though who should be back by round 2.

There was no such luck for Sharks forward Paul Gallen, who will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery yesterday on a bulging disc in his back. Gallen, the Sharks' best forward last season, could miss up to five weeks.

oh ffs
i cant believe people are still on the bird bandwagon
the birdwagon

he's had years and years of being given a free ride into first grade on the back of his 'potential' but he's never come close to living up to it

he's not a promising new talent any more - he's another hack

Here we go, let's turn this thread into a bird rubbishing thread. Get over it, if he's playing well then he should be there.

Yes, but if he's sh*t, or spends half the season injured or suspended, he shouldnt be given a red carpet ride into the firsts side.

The idea of Bird replacing Gallen, what a joke

Frenzy.

thats a real bummer for Gallen and any chance of reps this year,.

Had no chance anyway. Bird has a greater chance of playing reps. I say that and I don't even like him. In fact I stand by what I said months ago. Bird will come good this year. He has no choice.

Gotta agree ...if Bird doesnt fire up he will end up on the scrap heap and end up at the Dragoons or Souths.

As for Paul, Disc surgery is pretty serious, 5 weeks is pretty optimistic. depends if he is a good healer could be bloody 10 weeks!
