Lachlan Galvin explains surprise Tigers appearance
Lachlan Galvin enjoyed a stellar first campaign in the NRL as he scooped the club’s Rookie of the Year award while registering 16 try assists in 21 appearances.
The five-eighth then capped a fine season with selection in the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII clash against their Papua New Guinea counterparts.
Yet Galvin has refused to rest on his laurels as he reported to pre-season training at Concord a week ahead of schedule.
"It’s great to be back, I wanted to get here early and just get into it," Galvin said.
"It’s good to get the first day out of the way, but I love being back training with the boys.
"It all starts now, so we'll just turn up each day and work hard."
Galvin will have a new partner in the halves in 2025 with Jarome Luai set to take over in the No.7 jersey from Aidan Sezer.
The four-time premiership winner signed from Penrith on a lucrative five-year deal and declared that he upon his unveiling that he was confident of turning the club into a success alongside Galvin.
"I'm officially a Tiger now and I'm really excited to be a part of this new journey," the Samoan international said.
"I'm here to win, and I'm here to win consistently, so I hope you guys are ready for the ride."
