Hope this isn’t true but I just heard that Isaac the cnt Moses has recently poached Bula from Ayoub. If true then we can expect much agitating sometime this season re more money or contriving a situation to move Bula to another club. The horror show involving players in demand who are managed by the oxygen thief will never end.

If this is true this is shit. Bula is killing it.

Star player’s agent swap could have impact on Tigers’ future

The agent whose players’ moves helped dismantle the Wests Tigers’ roster seven years ago is on the verge of adding Jahream Bula to his list of clients alongside Lachlan Galvin.
A day after this masthead’s revelation that incoming superstar recruit Jarome Luai has player options in the final three years of his five-year contract, the Tigers are now bracing for one of their brightest young talents to join the Isaac Moses stable.

Moses and the Wests Tigers don’t see eye-to-eye and tension is already high due to a standoff involving another Moses client, John Bateman. Complicating matters further is the situation with Galvin, following multiple requests from his agent Moses for a release during the past 12 months.
The young fullback has been on the lookout for a new agent after his former manager, Liam Ayoub, recently accepted a role with the Canterbury Bulldogs in the club’s recruitment department.

As reported by this masthead in October last year, Bula has a mutual option in his contract for the 2027 season. If the Tigers decide to exercise the option, he will play the 2027 season on a salary of $900,000. If the Tigers decide against retaining Bula at that price, Bula has the opportunity of taking up a player option at $800,000.
Moses, however, will not earn any income from a contract negotiated by another agent and would only earn a percentage of Bula’s pay if he were to negotiate a new contract with the Tigers or a rival club. That conversation will have to occur some time in 2026, which happens to be both Luai and Galvin’s final year on contract.

The Tigers have met with Galvin’s family and are preparing to sit down in the new year to discuss the possibility of a long-term extension. Moses’ involvement is a hurdle the Tigers will have to overcome.
Moses’ most significant previous involvement with the Tigers was overseeing negotiations for the club’s “big four” stars in 2017, when James Tedesco departed for the Sydney Roosters, Aaron Woods linking with the Bulldogs and Mitchell Moses agitated for an early release to join Parramatta. Luke Brooks was the only member of the quartet to remain at the Tigers.

Its a good decision by the Tigers. They offerred Galvin more than he was worth and he said no, so instead of the manager driving the narrative to push his price up they withdrew the offer. Galvin may very well end up going to a worse team for less, but from WT perspective who cares.

The positive is, he s not on top dollar at Tigers so an early release is out of the question no matter how much he kicks stones. Next year he should start in the back row while Latu starts in the halves and gives whoever signs Galvin buyers remorse.

My bet is he is off to the Eels. Both halves managed by Moses, he will probably end up with a say in who the coach is and start pushing every dud on his roster to be signed. Poor bastards over there will never win a comp.

Genuinely sad the kid is going, it would be nice to think he wanted to stay, but he probably also saw his future in the back row at Tigers and has more earning potential elsewhere in the halves.

Galvin reminds me of a young Curtis Sironen - an outstanding 5/8 but with a big problem - he simply filled out his small but tall frame and then slowed down and wallah, Curtis ended up in the forwards,

Galvin needs to fill out because he just looks like his body won't last, he too could end up in the forwards. I wonder if he wants that.

I always said the same comparison. Another similar player is Wade Graham, he was a great player with ball skills and great short kicking game but was too big and to slow for a permanent 5/8 and became a very good backrower

I think I've already stated that Galvin looks too small for the backrow and not skillful enough for the halves. He is a real risky long term marquee level signing.

He might come good but Stef might come good as well. The reality is it's professional sport and Galvin can look for the bigger contract elsewhere. I'm not offended by players looking for better pay days.

The more I think about this though the more stupid it appears to be from Galvin's perspective. He isn't a sure bet and we've offered him a top dollar deal. He has basically stated he wants out of the club as quickly as possible. I think it's dumb on his behalf and good for us.

It all seems weird.

Oh well, good riddance to bad rubbish. Latu should be right in about 4 to 6 weeks. Until then why not give Heath Mason a crack? He is a half after all. Galvin can go back to Ball or Flegg or whatever the under 21s comp is. Then after that he can clean the shitters. There is no way we should put 1 more second, or 1 more dollar into his development. Some will say this is cutting your nose off to spite your face, but we have other options for this year and next year, and we should be moving forward with that IMO.

I'm really disappointed to say the least. After we threw him a lifeline when Parra and everyone else said he wasn't good enough, and then to be told he wouldn't consider an offer from us for any amount, is a slap in the face.

I wonder what real or perceived incident happened between Moses and the Tigers to cause him to be such a prick. After all, if Galvin regresses for the rest of the year Moses may end up costing himself some coin.

People have speculated Parra but I reckon it will turn out to be Canterbury.

It seems really risky and really dumb. It also comes across as rude when the club has bent over backwards for the kid.

When it comes to picking the team I think we play Galvin if he deserves to be picked. I think Latu is a better player but he needs to be on the field and we shouldn't give Latu the job out of spite. It should be on form.

Here is something that I can't believe I'm suggesting. Doueihi in the trials was our best half. He out performed Galvin. Can Doueihi slot into Galvin's role on form ? I think we could easily play Naden, Bird and Staines in the centre spot.

Another option is Mason. Mason might perform better than Galvin has been.

I don't think Galvin has been good at all this year and he has been given a free ride because we seemed desperate to keep him. Now that isn't happening can we slot someone else into that spot and improve the team.

We still need wins.

Not the Dogs, Gould said he wanted to see Galvin stay at the WT's, he wouldn't back stab, would he Hahaha
Gould has hated Parra ever since we didn’t give him a crack despite being a local
Junior. We then beat him in the GF when he played for Newtown in 81. He has told numerous players not to go to Parra over the years.

Gee, our hate for Ivan only lasted a few years.

He better not go to the Bulldogs, he is a silly boy there's a premiership at your club.
I think one is coming here sooner rather than later, it would probably happen in his tenure if he stayed.
But no one was ever sure of his commitment to the club, on the field he was OK, but he always stuttered when asked about staying, whether that was him or his manager talking I don't know.
If he goes, we move on, like every club has to.
