Yep... I was thinking the same, he is better than Galvin in every department.
Playing in a better team, better coach, better system and money. All goes to helping youngins like him to succeed.
Galvin's debut was in a far inferior side imo.
But I have to agree with you. Atm Galvin is a $350+ player and if he wins games for us and helps us make the finals then he gets rewarded.
But we bought that reward forward and our generous offer was not looked at because the coach can't develop him apparently.
The same coach who has helped him into the NRL and protected him....too much imo.

Well, he did set up the first try and stopped a certain match winning try.
That must count for something.

That was Toa that tackled Atkinson when he he cut back in.. Then he just walks back like no big deal.. what a dude
And he saved the game ..and I’m the first to notice
I wonder if Luai and Taruva taught him that as well… coz he has no “game iq “ right? Pilease !

Reserve grade most likely.
Agree, we have to give Latu a go, the season is hanging by a thread.
Though with Pole out for a while and our lack of depth in the forwards, maybe throw him in as a lock to bolster the rest of the forward stocks. e.g. Twal goes to bench as a FR rotation?

Ive never been one to want to keep players that want to leave.
Playing him when hes going to go leaves a hole in our thoughts.
I think we should flick Galvin, then let Fainu play the rest of the season at 6.
At least that gives us some time to see if he suits.
I am of the understanding that the long term plan was Fainu at 6 and Galvin at 13 anyway.

As an aside, I wouldnt mind seeing Heath Mason having a go at 6 to.

I'm of the view that we still need to keep him for the length of the contract. I don't care if we play him in reserve grade, and his form says he should be. But it is more making sure that our rivals don't benefit from screwing us over again.

Not that it can be proved but there has clearly been breaches of the anti tampering rules as Galvin is locked up until the end of 2026. Parra have form in this with M Moses and Matterson previously which we folded on and they instantly improved their side. But we when recruited Stefano he would of improved us but they played him in reserve grade all year despite the fact he would of started and improved us.

Now look at Parra for next year. If they recruit Galvin to play alongside Moses next year, more than likely they will be competing for one of the 6-8 spots in the top 8 which we will also hopefully be competing for. But if we keep Galvin, they wont be able to recruit another 5/8 since they know whoever is there is just warming a spot. So Moses has to play with a reserve grader or a makeshift 5/8 like D Walker. Add Moses missing a few games and they are likely stuck at the bottom of the table.

Why would we help Parra to compete for a spot in the finals when keeping Galvin for 350K can prevent that.

At the very minimum we need to keep him all off season and maybe release him just before the June 30 deadline next year to make sure they have the most disruption to their season possible.
