it is so crucial to win those games, great effort. i don't think we've won up there for a gazillion years. mortimer has legend written all over him. to come back from his mistakes, not too many young fellas would be up for that. and hindys back, baby

He had a terrible first half, charge down, dropped balls, kick out on the full. Same as the match against Souths.

Good 2nd Half but those hospital passes, one to Mateo and 2 to Horo (last week), is a very, very low percentage play.

I can understand what he is trying to do. Pass to the forward running through and then later, throw it to Tahu instead of that forward. But those hospital passes could cost us.

Kris Keating had a very nice game tonight starting to settle in and showing some of the form he was showing in the early rounds last season. Mortimer is really strugglng, hopefully as the tram as a whole improves so will he.

Matt Keating is a much better hooker than Robson and showed that tonight. Won't be long until Robson is back at Wenty IMO.

How good was Hindy's hit on the cowboys goal line? He and Poore are playing their way back into potential rep selection. Is Tim Mannah a shoe in for City/Country?

I was worried about the quality of the game as I followed this thread but we played alot better than I thought. Still too many errors but there is way more fluency.

A wrap on the refs as well. Much better standard.

Less Finicky Ruck Penalties = Better Game

I was very happy with everyone, however once again Mateo and Inu contributed the least.

Very impressed with Hayne. Loved his aggression in the kick returns, loved how he got involved in general kicks in play.

Thought Robson was great and MK provided good spark when he came on.

Unlike the haters, I think our halves are coming along just fine. FFS they are just kids and they are improving each and every week. Kicking game was much improved again and it if wasn't for the greasy conditions it would have been near perfect.

I thought it was a great win and with a 70% completion rate, we're building nicely.

Special mention for Mason. Great game Willy. As Freddy said, he can be anything. He just has to decide that he wants it. Mateo should take note....

Don't know what game you were watching but I thought Mateo was great last night. His defence was actually quite good. Go back and watch it and you will see him being very active when the Cowboys came in his direction and put on some very decent hits. In attack he continued making those hit ups even though he probably doesn't want to. The only issue I had with him was his persistence in offloading late in the game

Out of all our forwards he contributed the least and I stand by that. Apart from the offload that led to the Tahu try (which great but he owes ten fold that for the stupid off loads that don't come off). Horo offers more go forward and as good defence. FYI Mateo made 69m off 13 hitups. Horo made 44 off 4.

Hey Gronk,

D-wise, I thought Mateo was great.
Inu also looks dangerous. If anyone offered nothing, it was Reddy.

Yep, Mateo defended well and so he should. I guess my on-going beef with him is that we are just not getting value for money.

IIRC Inu was running off feeds from Reddy. Reddy was awsome mopping up half breaks and dragging down Mason/Tonga all night.

inu made a silly nearly costly mistake in front of goal, but aside from that i though his yardage coming out of our 20 was awesome, he has that ability to just keep dragging people with him. and some of his offloads were class

Yes Paige, I did. ........and that was about all I saw him do.

Mr Suity
Well the others may not have been on mid screen, but he was there, and making good tackles. And just to add in pointlessly, I met him at the airport on Thursday :D

I'd be tempted to pick Jono Wright if he is playing well for wenty.

Reddy was poor, and we know how bad he was his last start.

Of course, we know though that anderson will keep reddy and when grothe returns it will be inu who goes.
