My son was stoked because he managed to get a photo with will kennedy after the game down at the fence then we randomly ran into ramien, dale and fifita in the P1 carpark and got photos with them too.
My post above from the Rabbits game where he bombed one…. I still have lots of love for Ronnie, but these arrogant mistakes are really wearing thin.I’m sure I’ve posted on here before that I was worried Ronnie will bomb a try one day by showboating. I love Ronnie, but I’ll also stand by a point I made when discussing Katoas potential extension, Katoa is not that far behind him in terms of contributions, he is just less of a ‘character’. And in this case, I doubt you’d see Katoa do the same.
The pass was shocking.I can say this without being bitter since we won but that referee kept that game closer than it needed to be with giving them a gazzillion penalties so we were defending a lot more in the heavy conditions than we needed to, that's why they were so sluggish towards the end. How the pack of knobheads missed that forward pass for their try I'll never know. Incompetent fks
I wouldn't have been too fazed if Katoa had gone but I thought last week, as you have now, that he was better than Ronnie. Sione is doing the small things better, has actually looked safer than Ronnie beneath the up and unders (< for Quigs) and is doing his core work as well as Ronnie is doing his. Katoa was one of those heart attack players for me and I was waiting all the time for him to drop a bomb or spit the ball up in contact or some other Sharkesque error but he's not looked in trouble at all in consecutive weeks under Burton, Keary and Walker aerial attacks. He's doing well.My post above from the Rabbits game where he bombed one…. I still have lots of love for Ronnie, but these arrogant mistakes are really wearing thin.
He’s so good across most aspects of the game, but needs to keep his head in the game - he’s getting lost in the moment of excitement and losing concentration - get the ball down, then do your cheesy grin and celebrations (although I’d prefer a reaction like WK’s - get up enjoy the moment, but keep the game face on!)
Again, prior to Katoa signing his extension, and some were saying we should let him go, I said he wasn’t far behind Ronnie on all fronts - I’d argue Katoa is the better and more reliable of our 2 wingers this year!
I thought katoa was safe but a bit average last night. Is he injured? Some of his hit ups in the second half in particular had no urgency or impact to them at all.
Overall and potentially. There's been too many mental lapses of late thoughRonnie is clearly the better player. Even allowing for some of his mental lapses.
Would be good to see a bit of maturity as it’s hurting his game.
He may have been but he was definitely cramped for room with the overuse of the short side on his edge. I don't recall him getting any clean ball at all yet Ronnie did and was able to make a few long incursions which saw him get near triple the metres.
I reckon the Dogs did a really good job on shutting down those short side raids. I'm sure it was that defence that led to some of Nicho's (and Briton's) strange kicks down that edge. Those kicks looked like frustrated plays to me as what usually works wasn't working as well.
Terrible crowd. From memory the sharks didn’t host dogs at woolooware for years after.
You are kidding right?I thought katoa was safe but a bit average last night. Is he injured? Some of his hit ups in the second half in particular had no urgency or impact to them at all.
You are kidding right?
