Trindall - but must play 7

I'd like Drinkwater at 1, but he's no good at a club like ours. He was dynamite at Storm when younger. He needs structure and above all accountability. Thats Storm and Penrith.

At clubs like ours and Cowboys, etc - where there's no accountability - rocks and diamonds players like him come unstuck.
Too many rocks sees them sink.

S73 with you to a degree on Trindall and Tieg but Tom isn’t built for the game anymore. Hard pass if I’m rebuilding.

I'd have BB, Tricky, Ronald, KL, Teig, Jesus, potentially Nikora despite his current form. Not much else. Pretty sad really. I don't see the lower grades these days, but it sounds like the cupboards are bare. Might be a few years of no semis coming up I reckon.

Ah well, there's always drinking!

I’m with you, though I’d also add AFB, on the proviso we learn to use him properly and get the most from him - if we continue to play this 1 out, 5 drives and a kick, with no deception, essentially just making him a standard hit up merchant, then there’s no point spending a million on him.
Also, if I was being really harsh, I could probably give or take Teig and Brit. Neither are exactly pulling up trees.
The current version of the game needs teams to have explosive power or speed, we don’t have it, Teig and Brit don’t really have it.

Too tall?

Remember Garrick Morgan. . Biggest name in union signed on a huge contract to SQ Crushers.
Faded from sight after not many games.
His height.
The up and down. Up and back. Tall guys can be a bit unco.

There's a few very basic rules in rugby league.
Catch the ball.
Run hard.
Make your tackles.

If you have a fair to good squad with a couple of rep players in your spine and you follow those principles you'll have a good year.
If you have a good run with injuries and you complete - on average - around 85% you'll just about win the comp.

That describes the Storm over the past 20 years.

I think Fitzy started with those principles.
But he's lost his way.

AFB is a classic example of this. When players start to go backwards at a club it is the biggest red flag to a fan that this is the beginning of the end of something. Or someone.

Our wingers.
Seriously poor.
Our halves.
Seriously poor.
Our edges.
Have seriously deteriorated this year.
Our frontrowers.
Seriously...

AFB running 100000 metres in a game has some people reaching for the lube.
It means nothing me.
Feefs ran 200 metres every week but the best run he ever made was about 7 metres on the 2nd October 2016.

I want quality.
Not quantity.

AFB is bored.
Why can't someone unleash this beast and let him kill some kharnt?

Big dawdling runs in the the middle of the park with 4 guys hanging off him every tackle....yaaawn.

If we had decent halves.
Or a hooker who was as good as everyone says, like a Reece Robson or Micheal ennis, who could run a clever play and slip him a ball that would get him one on one with DCE - now that's some serious ground he would make up the park.
And say we had a fullback who followed that play and finished it off under the black dot.

This isn't rocket science. It just needs someone to work out what our strengths are and play to them.
I'm not sure, but I think this might be the coaches job. Last count we had at least 3 of them.

We have big boppers.
And big boppers love to run hard.
But our big boppers look bored.
Several of our big boppers think running hard 50 metres out from the tryline is what the fans and the coach want because this gets their 'mtrs per game' up.

But what the fans really want is to watch big boppers run hard from 10m out.

Feefs won us a GF doing it.
Tom scored his first try doing it - and then did it again and again.
BHU made a name doing it.
AFB did it for laughs at the Wahs.

I haven't seen a big bopper wearing BWB run hard from 10 out to score this year.

Where's the hunger?
What did we practice for 5 months in the preseason?
What do we do at training?
What does Holdsworth do and why was he the best candidate?
How has Steve Price improved what he brings over the last 3 years?..what are his KPIs?
Why can't the halves get the forwards going forward?
How long does the coach keep picking the same players who can't get the job done in the hope they will one day get the job done?..does he have a timeline?...or does he pick them until they retire or he gets sacked?

I think this game showed that Ramien is the best centre at the club.
We also saw Darren Clark do Darren Clark things.
The spine as a whole was devoid of ideas and direction. Hynes and Trindall weren’t good. Bailey’s service has been shot for a month.
What’s AFBs go. He has been a shell this season.
Butns needs to be dropped. His defence is mud.
I’ll give Wilton the benefit of doubt. Building his fitness.
Some say his defence has always been sus but what he can do in attack makes up for it, he is on big money.

Other teams like the Roosters have worked hard buying and bringing on players. We have Burns, Calghoon and Stonestreet. God help us when we play the Tigers.

Bro, the roosters roster and money and funds and special favours should be a top4 team every year without failure.
They have struggled to make the 8 recently.
Sam Walker is a worse footballer now than he was 5 years ago.

12 months ago every one wanted the tigers kicked out of the comp.
