Reynolds showed us today exactly what is lacking in Chads game. Pretty much every touch, takes 3 or 4 steps forward, it makes the defence have to prepare for him running the ball - that forward movement, however short and subtle, creates a moment of doubt in the defence and thus time and space wider out - Chad just does not engage the line consistently or with any threat.
Then you have Reynolds short and long kicking game - whenever Chad is about to kick the ball (even for a penalty to touch) looks like a prop who’s been thrown it on the last - he doesn’t even release the ball from his hands right, it almost looks like he just holds the ball out in front, let’s go of it and swings his leg towards it - then it’s pot luck what happens from there.
