It’s weird - early in the season, we had a very clear identity in our style. Very Penrith-like, back 5 making big yards doing a lot of donkey work, forwards energy being front loaded into defence to restrict yardage of opposition, which allows back 5 to then go to work. All about territory and playing the long game, with teams getting gassed in the 2nd half.
We then played Penrith and got tanked - and it’s like after that loss, we threw the baby out with the bath water and decided what had been working all season shouldn’t be done anymore and have reverted back to 1 out drives, poor handling, getting dominated in the collision.
And now, we don’t have an obvious identity - they look like a team who’ve been cobbled together and just thrown out on the park to do their best - there’s no obvious tactic or style at play.

I can’t keep up with all this and honestly have lost a lot of patience and time for it. Another player has an incident with contact of a ref - off with a warning or fine or something.

What makes the badger thing worse, on the NRL page, someone shared an article from a few years ago when male badger was working for Wests and the NRL came out and cleared female badger to officiate in Wests games anyway, because ‘her integrity is without question’. What a ridiculous decision that was - and now they’ve changed their mind, so the question has to be why? Why was it allowed back then (which was a ridiculous decision), and what’s changed for them to not allow it now.
Amateur hour.
The new rule interpretations (eg short drop outs), the ridiculous things people are penalised for and banned for (players backing into defenders = crusher), the whole ‘dangerous tackle’ interpretation (there pretty much isn’t a legal safe zone anymore), the inconsistent MRC, the bunker as a whole, this latest piece…. The running of the officiating element of the game is the worse it’s ever been.

It’s not good at all. @Chimp covered it perfectly.
Not sounding like a smart arse, but I wonder if another club has a DDDD(Dark Dank Drug Dilemma) - how will it be handled, how long till it gets shelved blah Blah.
Darkest day in sport…. seems like a long time ago but stings none the less

I believe they should both be fined and stood down. How many times over the last 30 years have we heard about the "integrity" of the game?

They both knew the scenario and failed to notify the most incompetent sporting body in the world.

I have claimed for a number of years that Rugby League is now "Entertainment" like Wrestling, that is the type of thing WWE would do.
