They also have three of the best attacking players in important positions in the game, thus proving my point. You need to be able to score points as well as stop them to win a premiership.

If you don't think their ability to score points is an incredibly important part if their success than you're on a different planet, sorry. They are better than most sides in attack and defence.

But they build everything about their game on the back of there defence. Defence first, Attack second, which was the point of the original argument.

No you've shifted the goal posts again, but whatever.

Attack is every bit as important as defence. Simple as that. If you cannot score tries you will not win a premiership any more than a side that cannot stop tries.

The original argument started ages ago and you joined half way through...it started with the argument that Defence first, Attack second.

History of NRL shows us that if teams stop tries they will score plenty anyway, but just because they can score tries doesn't mean they will always stop them.

The Stats below show us who performs better each season.

Top 8
2016 - 8 best defensive teams, but only the 7 best in attack
2015 - 7 best defensive teams, but only the 5 best in attack
2014 - 8 best defensive teams, but only the 7 best in attack
2013 - 8 best defensive teams, but only the 7 best in attack
2012 - 7 best defensive teams. but only the 6 best in attack

At no stage in the last five years have the number of best attacking teams in the competition even equalled the number of best defensive teams in the Final series.

This above proves that the best defensive teams make the finals more consistently than the best attacking teams.

Defence First. Attack Second.

Unless the best attacking teams score more tries but cannot convert them as they have a 65% kicker.
