Game Day Versing the Titans

yeah when was the last time loots make a line break? watch the replays and watch Beale he does a great job in defence and gets a good pass away

He has it all over beale in these categories

im underwhelmed by his contribution

the cornerstone of the arguement in favour of his inclusion based on top notch defense is mythical

i suggest you try watching the replays, closely

I would not say he is defensively any better or worse than leutele

Luetele is a better attacking asset

I have seen loots rush out of the line making poor reads Im not convinced.

i don't think hes any better than leutele in all honesty

hes had his fair share of shitty reads as well

leutele had some strong games before injury

scored some fantastic tries

and his yardage when we are pegged is better as well

thats just how i see it

Leutele is more likely with the ball, though keeping some of the best backs in the comp quiet is important too. During the finals series, I'd be picking Beale over Leutele.

I thought titans got away with murder in the ruck - didnt see one call for a flop for the whole game and there was one nearly every tackle. They are a far grubbier team then i remember - twisiting the head etc on every tackle .Ryan james claiming wade lied about the coin toss for golden point and that they should have sent it to the bunker that will do me.

In saying that they were the better team for the 80mins but we controlled golden point and should have won it - thought we passed it too deep for the drop outs and maloney had too much time to think about it - ill take the 1 point but we need to improve alot if we are going to win it.

a home game quite recently which led to a line break, not sure which 1, we were defending northern end, is the most recent that comes to mind

but in reality it is quite frequent

Beale gets caught on when to jam or slide, his default go to is to jam, it happens quite regularly

if the jam is on, the winger comes with to shut it down

ive seen many occassions where feki is left isolated, so its either a communication problem or he is trigger happy on the jam

keeping in mind the best positions to count the numbers are fullback and wing

i think the latter is more likely the case

Hard call....do we apply the usual Sharks attitude of play not to lose or like a lot of this year, play to win.

Bearing in mind we now have a few potential match-winners / game-changers in our backline, going with the safe option of Beale probably makes sense. Particularly with Leutele not having played for a while.

I suppose we could rest a centre & give him a run over the next 3 weeks? Contrary to Flanno's thoughts, I think some guys could do with a week off before the semis.

The loots/beale argument has been done to death. Neither is going to set the world on fire. With the amount of finishers we have in the team now added with the playmaking of chad, bbq, and barba out the back, we would be better suited with who ever is better defensively.

Old mate and I watching the game last night on mates Mr Fox. Could not believe how long 'WE' were allowed to hold the Tits down in the tackles. I kept saying that sooner or later this idiot ref will start blowing the pea out of his whistle. It never happened. Don't know why.

You could hear the crowd bellowing for a penalty most of the game.

Won't get away with it next week.

Gotta agree I think loots has a bit of a stronger direct running game though I think the kiwi reads defence a little better
I would go loots in a choice
But not by much

The worst thing that happened was the ease of the first try.

Anyone notice the set after that? about 4 pushed offloads in our own 40.

Attitude at the moment borders a bit on arrogance.

Graham has the heart of an ox. f**k he had some stamina during Golden point. We ought to have played for a try in that last 5 mins..
At the game he looked lazy and fat in regular time. Way too much shuffling at the line. Might've been different on tv, but I doubt it would've changed what I saw.
Golden point was a different story, but all of our boys lifted for that, not just Graham.

Is Gal injured?
Very surprised he didn't start Golden Point.

What did You guys think of the Bird knee on Taga in the lead up to one of the trys.
Was it an accident, did Taga deserve it for laying around the ruck or Did Bird know exactly what he was doing?
