The talk of Katoa wanting a mega deal is laughable non sense.

Just like those people said Raimen was after the same thing.... Now Raimen has agreed they have turned on Katoa. Stonestreet is a great prospect who needs to be kept as well. You can have both. Stonestreet has played 5 NSW cup games. He is a few years off his best.

Oregon is a significantly better player than Toby. Does a lot of unnoticed work. Quick ptb, good in contact, solid defender. No fuss player.
I am still yet to see a bit of dirt or blood on Toby's head after a game

Thought they were all pretty good besides Rudolf. Average last week as well I thought. Think he try’s too hard at times. Gets a starting spot because he probably is the one to provide the least impact off the bench.

No sorry I should have been clearer. I reckon Fitz had made his mind up and didn’t want to risk him after a short offseason for him. We will see if he gets scans.

I don't think that makes sense at all. He had a very big back half of last year and played in the world cup and in the all stars. He would be right in the hunt for a starting spot I'd think.

Nikora also went to the world cup, played in the all stars and also got plenty of minutes yesterday.

Mate I’m saying Fitz was saving him for a starting spot. Risk mitigation. Putting him in cotton wool. However you want me to put it.

Toby might struggle to be in 17 by mid season.
Last year he had Tolman and Fifita at end of careers, Williams out injured.
Hazelton & Colqhoun just getting a taste, they are ready now, we ha e Oregon as well.
And could of young guys coming through he will need to perform or like any of the pack could miss the 17

Rudolf is streets ahead of Hazelton and JC, no chance those two take his spot. He made a few errors but he was excellent for us before he got injured in the Tigers game last year

Got to give credit to Williams player 10 x better than last week and can definitely see his leg speed as something we missed last year.

Wilton and Moylan is a sexy combo. I hope Moylan stays injury free again.

I think the best way to describe some of our middles are their worst game is really far from their best game. Some games BHU, Toby and Hunt look like aggressive animals who are going to take that next step. Other games they I don't want to say go missing but will have errors, miss a bad tackle and stand out for the wrong reason. Toby had that in the first half yesterday. The good news is we have a lot of middles and someone from BHU, Toby, Hunt, Kafusi, Williams, Hazelton, Dale and McInnes will miss out every week if not two of them. Depth is good but someone needs to take the jump to the next level.

Also I saw the photos of Sifa without his shirt today - he has lost a lot of weight. His stats yesterday were crazy and I barely noticed him. Raimen looked super fit also and was jogging in support with ease at times. I've seen him around Cronulla and his arms are faaaaarken huge but he looks so lean.

The disrespect on Katoa is ridiculous. Our two wingers as a pair are up there with the best in the game.

K, No one is disrespecting Katoa.

No one is saying he wants a mega deal.

But apparently he is asking for more than the Club want to give him.

Too often past Sharks management have given established players slightly inflated money to keep the band together.

Katoa is far from the perfect winger. His hands can let him down and his defence is not always good. He can run around in circles a bit too much as well.

Having said that he does know how to finish for a try and is very athletic and can score try’s that some other wingers wouldn’t even get close to scoring.

He is expendable however if someone comes through the ranks with the potential to be better. That’s how everyone’s position in the team should be treated.

I trust Fitz to make the right judgements and I hope Katoa has a great season. But I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Stonestreet this season. This kid has something about him.

Ramien dropped 10kg apparently and he looks faster. Sifa was unstoppable yesterday. We stay fit past a hard start we are golden.

Ramien has lost a huge amount of weight. I hope not too much because one of his best assets is his strength and power.

Sifa looked awesome in the trial and looks like he will be a permanent spot in the centres now. He needed to lose a bit to help him even more with his agility. Think he’ll have an even better season this year. One of my favourite players in the team. What a clever wrecking ball we have out wide.

Is the Club that wealthy that $100G is less important than a trial 'game plan'??

It seems apparent, that the club's management, coaching staff, and players think it is less important. Im in no position to say they are wrong. The 100,000 was obviously meant to encourage an entertaining, "Harlem globe trotters" style in short term, at expense of working on things more important to the clubs premiership success in season proper.

Most important thing is having a winning team than “prize money”.

Bums on seats, merch sales and sponsorship deals. That’s what’s important. Carry on Fitz.
