Game Day vs Donkeys

I turned off with about 20 or 25 left, couldn't take anymore. As for the Feki stuff I'm reading about, it seems so typical of this team. There was one instance before I gave up, we had the ball, ball hit the ground, everyone stopped, I think Capewell pounced on it and ref called 0 tackle as it was the Broncos who had knocked it on, but our players were prepared to stop and give up assuming it was dropped by a Sharks player.

They have never had the care once a ball is dropped, which gives yourself up. This refs are so useless, you keep playing, every now and then they either don't notice or call it backwards! Also pretty sure we have let in plenty of tries where we have dropped the ball, opposition picks it up and off they go with everyone standing around watching.

We will see what happens come semi finals time, this time last year we were f**king woeful, but we had a top 2 spot sewn up. Maybe they are lacking motivation, but when those finals start, hopefully it comes back.
I turned the footy off at HT and watched repeats of Game of Thrones.

Look at the metres made by our pack last night, f**k all, the backs did more hitups. Not one cracked triple figures, of our 3/4 only one , feki, didn't get triple figures.

Chad puts a couple of bombs up to the tallest player on the ground and Oates eats it up.

Holmes puts in a grubber and he knocks on.

Shyte it's not rocket science.

Tall blokes struggle at the low shyte!

How many tries have we scored from grubber kicks? How many from bombs?

So why was the bomb the most used kick last night?

Our only means of attack was the bomb.

Shows we have nothing in that department.

Get Holmes on the wing & throw the ball out to him.

I'd even use Beale at fullback to do that.

& get Fifita to run straight & hard & get a quick play the ball. He's had an ordinary year (although someone will throw some stats at me to prove otherwise).

Good call on the kicks. Amateur hour. I'd love to know why every kickoff went straight down Boyd's throat? Don't they remember Hunt's grand final drop from a couple of years back? Kick it to someone who doesn't catch balls all day, not one of the safest fullbacks in the comp! Surely they work out who they're kicking to before the game?

I don't really blame our halves as much as our forwards. They got owned. Again. No half will flourish without the time and space they need.

The way I saw it we started the game and were throwing the ball around and giving the Donks a bit to think about. Then the usual shit started. Dropped balls, passes to no one, dumb penalties and brain farts.

So we went back to what we do really good. Five solid one out hit ups and a f**king bomb to someone.

Works a treat, every side falls for it.

All year I have been waiting for our attack to click. I thought it was a 'slow cook' job and would be fine come this time of the year. We jagged it against the rorting chooks. But alas, that is now a distant memory.

We have no one directing the team around the paddock, calling the shots, it is just made up as we go.
When we get into a position where we might need quick points it ends up like the "shit what do we do now" syndrome.

Gal is busted. Most of the older players are looking that, old.

I was hoping for more this season but most of the time the side has just let everybody down including themselves.

Watching Gal last night I again wished he had done an Ennis and pulled the pin after the GF.

Looking in the mirror this morning I wished I had done an Ennis too and quit whilst at the summit. But yeah like a dickhead I will be backing up next week hoping for another Eastern Suburbs game performance from the Sharks but realistically I know they can't put two or three of those together in a row when it matters.

As the good old Professor Julius Sumdemiller would say "It's obvious my boy, it's obvious"

Enjoy the last couple of months as the NRL Premiers.... the dream is ending.
