Wow what a horrible and pointless beat-up.

Every sports team experiences lower attendances when results are bad. We have been through an awful 10 + years which has led to disillusionment and lower attendances.

Get back in the top 8 and this will change pretty quick.

This guys an arsehole for needlessly, pointlessly kicking us while we're down, and just pointing out the obvious. We'll be back, and we will wipe the smile of this arseholes face.
We know the article had a slanderous agenda bcs they used a pic of JDB. Why not Sua or Sloan? Scum.

…. Yeh, but dig deeper and some of the time spots and opposition have been very ordinary delt towards Kogarah; when they finally got a good opposition and favourable time slot they packed it out! But don’t let facts get in the way of a …..story!
Exactly Saturday sunday arvo against a big team equals sell out thurs 8pm or Friday 6 no stadium is a sell out
At least Lancaster was "firing back"
As everyone has said he just loves to get a rise out of us

It’s all well and good to put the boot into our club but let’s put everything into perspective shall we. Let’s compare us to them.
Panthers were shit up until last 8 years
Storm always good
Broncos up and down and haven’t won a comp since 06, for their club base and financial clout underachievers
Sharks one comp in 58 years
Cowboys up and down and one comp
Roosters pretty much always consistent although they did get the spoon not so long ago. Us never
Manly hot and cold last few years, very good under Toovey, great in the 70’s,80’s & 90’s and crap before that
South’s not too bad last few years but before Inglis arrived they were shit for 50 years
Parra had a golden run when Sterlo etc played ,average since
St George had 2 1/2 great years under Bennett, previous were ultra competitive under Nathan good in the 90’s average in 80’s great in 70’s and world champions in 50’s and 60’s. I admit since Bennett we’ve been shit.
The rest aren’t even worth talking about .

Very good summary Rocket.

Prior to 2012 we were a relatively strong club, and as you point out during the 50s and 60s we had no peer.

For the record, and to save anyone else the trouble of looking it up, here are the games at Jubilee last year:

Saturday March 23, 5:30 pm, vs Cowboys - 9,252
Saturday May 11, 5:30 pm, vs Souths - 7,517
Sunday June 30, 2 pm, vs Dolphins - 8,252
Saturday August 10, 7:35 pm, vs Dogs - 18,416
Saturday September 7, 3 pm, vs Canberra - 11,189

So no Thursday or Friday 6 pm slots. We should be getting better crowds than that. No idea why the Souths game was so poorly attended unless it was pissing down rain or something.

Anyway, and just so it's not all doom and gloom. our average home game crowd last year was 15,036. Sharkies average home crowd last year was 11,712.

and yet we still get better crowds than his sharks.
and the IQ is much much higher ! I went to a game at swamp park in 2023 never again, wow, seeing the carryon by many during & after the game was embarassing. I was with a gummy supporter & even he was embarrassed although they did give us a big touch up....

In regards to last year’s Souths game JMcJ, it may have been raining (can’t remember), however, we played them on a Saturday at 3:00pm in 2023 and we were not travelling that well that year, yet still pulled 17,500 there!

100% raining for the Souths game. Remember Molo cleaning up Keppie in that game and Latrell being Latrell

Yep those are some good reasons and indicators.

Definitely the other articles on the site make some big claims thst are published no where else.

No name put to the article is a good indication too.

It also appears to stitch other articles together from other sources into a different story
Thankyou

AI will get better and better till no-one knows the difference

Scary!
