Game Day Vs. Manly

How many dissallowed tries? How many almost moments? So close...

Manly came to play and not send a club legend out a loser. We underestimated that (and the ref's sure helped it along).

It's Manly, they're a winning club not in the finals for the first time in God knows how long, their pride would be hurting - of course they are going to be fired up & keen to send Tooves out a winner.

We had a chance to bury part of the hoodoo but we wore yellow & did our best to add to it.

"So close" is a Cronullification, B BB&W. Fancy coming from 0/4 to make top 4 1 week from the semis...only to lose it again.

We played dumb & didn't deserve top 4 in the end.

As horrible as it was to watch it exorcized some demons and gave me a reality check.

As terrible as it sounds the only positive I can draw from it is knowing that I probably will only have to watch one finals loss instead of 2 if we had won that game.

Bring on Maloney and Chad 2016.

So you reckon the Rabbits will do is?

I'm very confident we can beat them, our style seems to counteract their's.

Only problem I see is the refs. If you thought last week we were ripped off (which I dont), wait for this week against the peoples team. They'll get plenty of help from the refs. Got to expect it & not use it as an excuse to lose though.

That looks to be down on the grass.

The video ref did skim over the decision pretty quickly. What did the refs boss say after his review of the game?

And yet manlys were the reverse.

Holmes first try - no try - correct ruling, double knock on

Gordon/Gallen - no try - correct ruling, knocked on

Feki try - No try - correct ruling, held up

Holmes second try - Try - over turned, Holmes knocked on

Ennis Try - No try - I thought it was correct but that looks down in that picture.

---------------------------

JSL Try - Try - correct, he got it down

Starling Try - No Try, althought I thought that was a try as it was simultaneous with Robson. Harsh overturn that one.

So we both had one try each not fairly given, evens itself out in the end.

I don't think it does look down in the picture.

It's not breaking the line of the shadow behind it.

Frenzy.

The ball isn't even in the picture. NRL balls don't have a black stripe around the end. I reckon that's a boot

Good summation. The sooner we admit that we (& only we)f**ked up, the better.

Time to look forward to this week.

Horo was offside on the intercept too, why not have a quick look before awarding the try

So here we are almost three days after the fact still trying to figure out if it was the ball, the boot or Harold Holt's left testicle. I'm beginning to see why the try was disallowed now.

It was clearly the ball, but its more interesting after 3 days there is still argument yet the Video referee looked at that angle, twice I think? For something people still can't decide and other tries being looked at 20-30 times, it was dismissed bloody quickly!

But I look at it this way, the shot he focused on 3 times! shows the ball getting very close to the ground but can't see, then you see that shot with what looks like the ball on the ground, now combining the fact the 1st shows it very close then the 2nd shot is clearly the ball.

We were screwed but oh well at least now we get an extra 2 days break and I can cheer on the Storm this week in the hope we can play a prelim in Melbourne!
