interestingly 242 meters for gallen and 70 for bird

I must be the only person in that isn't interested in our forward making more meters than our 5/8?

I'd be interested to compare Moa's stats to Maloneys, it would probably read the same.

well yeah we were comparing handling times

but I understand doing a thousand bucks on a silly footy bet would make one lash out

Whats that got to do with anything?

Do you think that our halves should be making 250m if they touch the ball 52 times? Spare me.

It's not interesting at all. His touches are ridiculous. His minutes are ridiculous.

His touches should be around 20 per game, not 40.

In context, he shouldn't be touching the ball as often as or more than either of the halves in a half or in a game.

Half of Birds metres would have been from the one time he ran straight and hard and he busted straight through them.

And still looked more likely to do something than Gallen. Wonder what he'd do with 50 touches...

Tell the other forwards and the dummy half
Of course the dummy half should have choices heighno and tops aside there weren't many putting their hands up
Lots of hands on hips waiting for someone else to do the hard work

Not a huge difference between Moa and Maloney.

Maloney - 66m
Moa - 72m

You seem to be well connected with the club CB4. Do you know how other players feel about Gal playing style?

Like some have mentioned Beale and Holmes were screaming for the ball at stages to no avail. Surely these guy must be sick of it at times.

If the players are hurting like us after a loss like that, which no doubt they are, they'd be "frustrated" with it for sure.

The hard work is fine.

But when it comes to us attacking in the 20. I want to see Gallen used 7/10 as a decoy rather than ball receiver. Teams gravitate toward him as he gets the ball all the bloody time, well use it wisely ffs.

Valentine Holmes - 16 touches - 7 in the second half
Jack Bird - 39 touches - 16 in the second half
Jeff Robson - 52 touches - 22 in the second half
Wade Graham - 25 touches - 10 in the second half
Paul Gallen - 37 touches - 21 in the second half.

Gallen starved all the skilled players of the ball in the second half. He touched the ball just once less than the halfback in the second half and just 2 times less than the five-eighth for the entire game.

That tells a story.

On a note, that I'm sure has been mentioned, games like that when we spend so much time and energy on their line without scoring, is the exact point where Fafita make a huge difference.

He runs the right angles, especially at that range.

Last game against Melbourne we had the same issue.

When that bloke took the intercept I saw a bloke (Beale actually pretty quick) bearing down on him with speed and I thought we have him covered.

Beale get's to within a couple of meters see's that another bloke (think it's Feki) has him covered and totally backed off (Beale was within 2 seconds of bringing him down).

Interceptor puts on a step and scores the winning try...

That hurst if Beale didn't back off that run we win the game. Definately not saying Beale had a bad game at all but that was the heartbreaker moment right there.

The idiot commentators were saying it was the defenders knee. Unless we were playing against a f**king zebra, it was clearly the detail of the ball you could see. I hate the referral system.

Anyone see the photo of the ball on the ground for the Ennis try? How was that not given?

Didn't see a photo, but in the side-on shot on TV it looked like it was down. Rab's was saying it was a knee... yeah a knee with a black tapered stripe on it. Old dickhead. Then they went to the view from behind the deadball and never went back to the view where it showed the ball down. Wtf is that about?

Add the Horo intercept (he was an easy 3m offside) and it's a decent turn around. I'm folding my tinfoil hat now.

Just watched the whole game again closely and we were serioulsy robbed by the refs as we all know. Yes too much middle action agreed and yes too many f-ups here and there but the rub of the green just did not fall our way.

How many dissallowed tries? How many almost moments? So close...

Manly came to play and not send a club legend out a loser. We underestimated that (and the ref's sure helped it along).

Horrible to watch it again and relive it but had to done...

We got very unlucky with two refereeing decisions and the Gordon/Gallen blunder and should have won by three tries, yes. But we played f**king awful and didn't deserve a top four spot playing like that. It's bullshit and we should be there but it's not.like we tried out guts out and slipped at the last moment...we played shithouse and dumb and even in getting screwed we deserved it. Not even angry at the refs...angry at the dickheads who hogged it!
