I think the point is we won 11 out our last 12 and the majority were pretty ugly. Will be interesting to see if Fitz can get them going through the gears over the next few weeks.

We can discuss post the semi finals - if your impressed by some of the crap dished up recently, then all power to you. Most recent games are up there with about as much re-watchability as Police Academy sequels
This is true. We have been ordinary in the last few games. I usually watch the replay when we win, havent done it in 3 weeks. Anyway, I live in hope that we have a decent squad next week with Toby, Will and Tracey all back in the side. Fitz says Talakai injured a previous syndesmosis injury so is a chance but not a certainty.

In all honesty, got alot of faith in the coach. Defended the decisions last year of the club flicking Morris and proof is in the pudding. Stoked for him, the team and the business of being the sharks.
As a 50 something sharks supporter, can’t help to sit on the side of the negative and air on the side of caution. God willing I can get a ticket to next Saturday night.
I just think there is a sting in the tail yet to come.

We have a fair few players who looked like they were playing to avoid injury/suspension today - we didn’t fancy doing the dirty hard work today.
But we keep on winning - we have to lift now - anything is possible, and I still say (as I have been doing for weeks) we don’t lose again in 2022.

68% completion rate again today

Do that next week and ..
Might hurt in a semi.

However the Sharks are last for completion rates for the regular rounds. Stone motherless, 75%, last

Yet have won 75% of games as well

80% would be nice but this team wins playing shit. The best are at 81%. Eels & Black Pussy Arrogant Qhunts

this is how I saw it as well.. did the absolute minimum to win. No one wants to miss playing finals.

My point is based on the overall season. To go 18 and 6 with that squad is in my view an exceptional regular season. Focusing on the last few performances might introduce some recency bias. An exceptional season is not a perfect season.

The team has to improve massively in the finals to make the most of running second. I hope they can do it, but won't be overly surprised if they fall short either as this is the first step back into contending for a comp.

So @Frenzy. You are saying that we are shit at completing, finishing the regular rounds wi th 75% whilst the best is at 81%.

Not much difference in reality. If we hold the ball for 80% be hard to beat.

Briton was strong today, but stats have him at 35 tackles and 7 missed.

Wade’s errors were poor, and nicho threw 3 absolutely dreadful passes. Plus Moylan dropped 2 sitters. Take those 8, out and we end up with 35/40

That be what I am saying. I don't think we are that far behind.

The whole Easts/Souths love in is a bit of a joke. Both of them are only at 75% as well
