Game day vs storm

Hmm, I don't understand why everyone is so confident.
We haven't beaten anyone of note & we were trash last week.

Melbourne are so explosive that I can legitimately see them blowing us off the park.

If we stay close, I see that as a win as we continue to improve, not sure we are there yet.

I hope Fitzy is doing a good job of filtering out all of this media nonsense.
Parra beat the Storm, and we beat Parra. I would call them some sort of note.

We cant afford Trindall to come on for 10 minutes and make 3 errors the storm will make us pay for it. I hope his confidence has been pumped up all week. Or there is a last minute swapsy.

Have to have a second goal kicker in case it's tight and Nicho is still kicking poorly.

Storm also tend to suffocate teams so he might even play more than we assume

For me, it's not so much who we've beaten, as to how we've beaten them.
The Knights and Dragons we absolutely belted. I thought both of those games were a good indication of "intent" right across the board.

The Raiders game was an aberration - no possession for the first 30 minutes, so it's hard to get a read on that one.

Last week, as others have noted, was more than likely a case of having their eyes on this week and next. But they were still relentless in defense. It's a good indication of where we are at that they can dish up that sort of performance and still win by 30.

I'm quietly confident of a solid showing tonight.

Both Bromwich bros out is a big plus for us. We only have a wing and an edge player to replace so overall, won't really make a difference as we have plenty of both. Storms bench (depth?)
now looking very light on.

Interesting Riccio cleared up that Christmas rumour. I had heard they were planning a press conference. Still pretty cool

people forget the dragons and knights were the favourites. Dragons had a good win and went close vs panthers. Their pack was going to smash us - remember?

And the knights had ponga back and again went well without ponga vs panthers etc

I get that the noise is becoming loud and the circle jerk larger by the week. Yet, it not who we beat for me or even the stats it’s a couple of other indicators of a team on the rise.

1. going down to the wire against the raiders after the raiders scored late.
2. Beating Parra on the bell.
3. Nico saving a dragons try on the bell when the game was over.
4. Ikus playing a match and scoring a try with syndo whatever it’s called.
5. Sifa playing centre and killing it .
6. The interviews about the dreaded word “culture”. Where Fitz had legends week, or the celebration for Moylans 150..or Alden’s 300th.
8. Wade sitting the sideline for every match.
This speaks to me of a change in attitude which shows me the club is capable of bigger things.
Plus we throw some f**king shapes at merkins. We are attacking from various points and moving defence around. One week it’s thru the middle to compress defence then go wide.. the next week it’s reversed. There’s many points of attack in most sets inside the 20. We must be frustrating to defend against cause it moves defence around which therefore creates holes.

Plus we have the best defence at the moment.
Plus our “shape” in attack is the best in the league..we look like the most cohesive team.

Its still a team sport.

Clear night for some dry weather footy. If we win it’s by 4 or less.

Those dumb error we made in first half last week will be costly tonight and that’s why I reckon it was perfect we had them vs tigers.

Enjoy the game fellas. No wrist slitting tonight. This is a 50/50 for me. Upup

I would have backed us until we were forced to play our fifth string winger.

So much of our success comes off the back our centres and wing. Hiroti just offers nothing. Not even a fall
over the line finisher.
