Game day vs storm

I haven’t watched the Storm for awhile. But one thing I did notice is how big Nelson leads with his forearm in a lot of his hit ups.
I've been watching it and noting on it for a long time now. Although I didn't hear it on last nights coverage it has been a common factor for certain commentators to say the bloke runs with the big bumper bar out front.

The "Easts" big bopper does it regularly also.

I am more than happy with last nights effort. The side went alright. I know I am certainly enjoying the long range attacks.

It is only round six remember.

And if you watch the game again you will see that everyone was slipping over early during the contest, not just Hiroti. It must of been like playing on ice .

I didn't notice at the time but it used to be a send off. It certainly ended Dale's night. The storm bring in a lot of dirty play but never get penalised.

It was a hella noticeable only because we were getting pinged by the ref hard on any soft indescretion, whereas the storm….Well oiled team that have that element of theatre not unlike the WWF wrestling

Good post. We can win the next 4 after this.

Manly brisbane warriors raiders. Get it done.
We will need the next three games to get us right to make the final eight. But really Storm we’re on another level, that’s we’re we have to be with so Fifita, Moylan, Hroti and Trindall have to go. We are only 5 games in. Start to use Miller and Metcalf.

Storm exposed the Sharks right edge with their first 4 tries coming through that channel. They ruthlessly exposed the Sharks weakness. Nikora was out, pushing McInnes to an unfamiliar edge defending role and Katoa out bringing Hiroti in. This edge didn't work well enough as a unit and Munster destroyed them. Hynes, McInnes and Ramien taking dummies was poor. The coach would have drilled them on that. Olam against Ramien was a good contest but Munster's brilliance was the difference.

The quick hands from the Sharks left edge was brilliant. Talakai's passing to Ronnie was sublime. Ball control was good overall but when Willams made an error they ruthlessly exploited it to shift momentum.

Melbourne showed the extra gears the top teams have from finals experience that Cronulla need to develop. At round 6, it's not surprising that there is plenty of improvement left.

5 Games into the season and the great thing about the turnaround in the club and team is the standard that we are already expecting from this team , 5 games , are we already getting a little self indulgent , we played the NRL gold standard team for the last 20+ years and we went toe to toe with them for a large portion of the game . The fact the Storm went for the 2 penalties when 12 points up showed the respect they had for us in knowing that we had the capabilities to score 2 tries quickly and put us back in the game . I love the fact that a lot of us are a little pissed but i am sure no more than the players and the coaches .
The good thing is that it was round 6 , 3/4 of the season to go , and we have so much improvement in us , do i expect us to win the comp this year , no , but boy we are going to have some fun trying . And there will be a couple of more disappointments i'm sure .
Give us this season and 2/3 more quality inclusions and the following few seasons are going to be special for us as fans .
At present our huge expectation must be tempered with reality .

One big plus I seen was on left hand side and will only get better throughout season amount of yardage Wilton was making and his combo with Talakai and Mulitalo, I would expect that to get better and better, good combo of speed and power
