I love the Wahs but hate the NRL administration. Still, there's no point having a go at the officials after a loss. We're out, the Panthers are in.

Webster post match very honest.
Just missing a piece, need to find that piece.
Wants to be the best team.
Gifted them opportunities.
Missed some of ours.

Never blew up about forward pass or potential double movement, but mentioned both tries.
No mention of Capewells defensive errors. But hinted at Fords offside chasing leading to tries.

Proud but pissed.

I understand sometimes refs missing things as they are in a different position to the camera angle we see, but touchies should spot it or bunker see it on review.
But tonight ref was right there for forward pass.

Special mention to CNK’s play on the McLean try. We have a dominant set of 6 on defence and he’s literally 30 metres out of position to field a regulation kick on the last. Like he’s literally standing back waiting for Cleary to pull off the longest recorded kick in the history of rugby league. Honestly a completely disgraceful and inexplicable error that no-one with a functioning brain and general coordination and spatial perception should be making. I could go on.

How do we fix our attack for 2026?
Metcalf fixes that to a strong extent, although it is worth remembering this is a guy who hasn't had a full, or really even anything resembling a complete season since he debuted in 2021 or since he started in senior footy in 2018.

We have to use everything we've got, which is Taine, Healey, whoever else might be killing it in NSW Cup etc.

Yep, that was absolutely terrible

An amazing defensive set to keep Panthers in their own 20 and then they get a try as we are nowhere near the ball. That one play finished the game for us.
massive turning point. We may not have gone on to win the game but we would have had great field position from a kick that should have been taken on the full (and the panthers had just battled on O to make no yardage - so maybe would have cracked). Like Manu said, where in f**ks name was CNK?
Chip paper now though.

sidenote: CNK let another one bounce right in front of him in the first half that could have been disastrous if panthers hadnt been in the 10. Was he having issues with the lights?

has become a trend this year to let the high ball bounce and just clean up.

That & Ford's offside were what lost the game for us imo (aside from not being able to ice our early chances)
yeh i forgot about the offside. you could hear the ref yelling "Jackson!" about 3 times, but he still kept coming....

Keeping a midfield combination on the field for more than a couple of games at a time would certainly help. Can see Halasima potentially moving to centre permanently. Rocco is cursed and Ali seems out of favour and also injury prone. Pompey has really been the only one to hold it together all season.
