Game of Thrones II

It was always meant to happen, my question is why didn't the 3 eyed Raven know about it? Or did he know and he just had to let Bran f**k up like that

My guess is that he did not want to tear a hole in the space-time continuum..

Seriously though, my actual guess would be that he knew it would happen and allowed Bran to take that path because it is critical to his learning, development and for what is to come. Sacrificed himself for the greater good much like Jojen did

If that is not the case then there are other questions we can ask:

Why did he not warn Bran about interactions with white walkers in visions. That would be rule number 1 - see a white walker, wake the f**k up or leg it. Surely, the 3 eyed raven would explain the rules to Bran and explain why.

That's the way I saw it - Bran was just seeing the past.

But Bran interacted and that is what screws up hodor. He wargs into hodor in the dream, making young hodor experience his own death. But hodor does it anyway.

Time paradox's are the fastest way to f**k up a film, show or book.

I hope they keep this shit to an absolute minimum or it increases the potentail to ruin the entire story line.

Chook.

this this this

I hope this is a one off. Because if you go down this road, you can destroy the entire thing. The possibilities are endless.

Obviously time paradox was part of the whole premise of The Terminator franchise, but look what Genysis did to the story..... made all the other movies redundant.

Well, I don't see anything in the TV series as lore as relation to ASOIAF

Willis was just kicked in the head by horse & started saying Hodor. Perhaps that will be revealed in the next book, but I doubt it.

There's a "Behind the episode" video where the producers/writers say they met with Martin and he told them the circumstances that lead to Hodor being Hodor. They got it directly from the man himself

episode titles for last 3 have been released.

8. No one
9. Battle of bastards (orgasm)
10. winds of winter.

my theory on bran (WARNING THEORY SPOILERS)

The three eyed raven orchestrated this whole 'hold the door', getting touched by a white walker thing. bran learnt from him. if his past had already happened, than the raven had allowed it to happen?

why?

the 3 eyed raven needed someone to accelerate the 'great war'. bran is now touched. is the magic related to the cave entrance the same as the 'magic' that was used by bran the builder who created the wall?

anyway, my theory is that bran was destined to lead the walkers through the wall, learn the heritage of jon through his visions (why else would the 3 eyed raven show him this stuff?), take jon (who by this time has hopefully taken winterfell back) and lead jon to daenarys and the dragons. the walkers either go close to destroying most of westeros, which would be cool, or daenarys and jon return to westeros and end the 'great war' at 'winterfell', the name implying that is the location winter is suppose to fall/end/die?

this probably isnt new information or theorizing to most of you but i had no on idea what this blokes purpose was until i stopped and gave it thought.

Today's episode was a step back, maybe spent to long with the Tarlys. And the ending was Boring, they should of joined Dany's dragon moment with her Killing the khals. Having 2 'badass' dany endings in the same season didn't really work, this 2nd one feels flat.
But the build-ups were good, interesting to see where arya's story goes from here, coldhands finally arriving and revealing it to be benjen was kinda cool, Clegane bowl is coming, the faith controlling tomnen will be interesting, and I'm sure will be seeing lady stoneheart (finally! Maybe nymeria to) this season.

Did anyone else hear Dany with the thousand ships reference? Im assuming this means she will definitely run into Euron at some point.

Euron will die horribly.

The show is really benefiting from not being enslaved to the source material anymore imo.

Euron will die horribly.

The show is really benefiting from not being enslaved to the source material anymore imo.

People who complain about the writing going 'downhill' without source material need to put a sock in it. The writing quality has hardly changed. If it has changed, it's not because the show has overtaken the books.

It was a good episode, not the season's best but I was still satisfied.

- I expected Benjen or Coldhands to show up, but was a little surprised (pleasantly) that Benjen is Coldhands, at least in the show. Benjen = Coldhands is just something that makes sense and I hope it turns out that way in the books.

- I loved Horn Hill...I actually didn't expect Horn Hill to be that huge. The guy who played Randyl nailed it. The whole dinner scene was just good.

- Kings Landing was interesting. I don't mind that the stand-off ended peacefully, it doesn't always need to be blood and violence.

- I f**king love any Walder Frey scene. He's hilarious, and it brought back a cool season 3 vibe.

- I have mixed feelings about the Dany scene. Seeing Drogon bigger and better was awesome, but seeing another old Dany soliloquy was just a bit boring, it could have been done at the end of last episode. But then again, if she did it last episode, people would have been like 'well why didn't she just get Drogon to burn the building instead of doing it herself', and the show writers understandably wanted her to do it by herself, so maybe revealing Drogon in e6 was necessary...but still, another bloody Dany rallying cry, it's getting boring.

- Really liked where the Ayra plot went. No more meandering around with her trying to be a faceless man, we all knew deep down she never would be one of them, so rightfully they're getting to the point and bringing forward the big climax to the faceless man plot. I don't understand why the Waif has always wanted to kill her, I thought faceless man aren't supposed to have desires...anyway

- Seeing the Mad King was awesome and unexpected. We also very briefly saw Lyanna covered in blood. And then we saw the wildfire being prepared by the pyromancers under Aerys' orders...but then we see wildfire being ignited and burning through a corridor...that could be vision of the future...Cersei burning Kings Landing down? Very possible IMO

Really stoked about that ep.
Bran seems like he's going to have a defined purpose, we got Arya back, Jamie is headed to Riverun, as is Brianne... the battle for Winterfell looms

the last half of this season is going to be off the f**king charts.
