Think they done an amazing effort for the battle scenes, really captured the chaos.
Think it was a good idea to split the episode between meeren and winterfell. Last time they tried to do a whole episode dedicated to 1 battle (the battle on the wall) it didn't quite work out imo. Dany's scenes where epic.

Enjoyed the Meeren scenes. Like Homer in the sensory deprivation tank they had me shouting "this piece of junk is finally starting to do something" :D

Glad Sansa completed her transformation to licensed badass, although it appears it has come at the cost of revealing Jon to be a bumbling fool. Seriously by the end of that battle when he was being trampled like a dumbass I was hoping he would suffocate at the bottom of that pile of panicked mess. Led thousands to the slaughter all because of one kid getting killed.

The Knights of the Vale cutting through the Bolton army like a ghost army through Orcs was a little disappointing too. If getting them onside meant instant victory I don't know why Jon was dragging his ass around to all the other houses and not going to see them.

Still, I can forgive that sort of telegraphed Tolkien shit because of the final scene of Sansa feeding Ramsey to his own dogs. I'm extremely glad Jon didn't get the honour of killing him in battle. After his muppet performance leading his army he did not deserve it.

I wonder how long till an MRA group of neck beards starts complaining that GOT is turning all its females into heroes and all its men into idiots

I'm still shaking. That was epic. Cinematography was off the charts. Those dragons. Good lord they've grown.

I am actually alittle disappointed many of the key characters didn't died. Very unlike GoT. They must be getting soft and appealing to the masses. Only the giant sacrificed for the greater good. They could have used him against the walkers.

Jon Snow - SMH.... dude has no idea..... it wouldn't have been a bad thing if he did die... suffocated in a piling heap of dying wildlings. I wouldn't have see that coming.

Sexy red priestess is going to get hers.... you can just feel it coming.

The choreography at the start of the battle was amazing.

Dragged a bit in parts and it was no hardhome but still pretty amazing that episode. The Direwolf banners being unfurled on Winterfell was pretty amazing.

Wow that was epic. Has there ever been a more satisfying death in the history of TV than that of Ramsay. I was thinking they couldn't help but fall short in everyone's expectations how he should die but it was done perfectly and he got exactly what he deserved.

My only gripe with that episode, as others have noted, is Jon's sheer stupidity. I don't mind him trying to get to Rickon but after he was dead what was the point of charging? There were other ways to get to the point where the Knights of the Vale saved the day without Jon looking like an imbecile. This does to Jon what the whole "I'll wave money around and just look out to sea" thing did to Arya.

Oh Sansa my sweet summer child.. If only you accepted LittleFingers aide earlier we might have saved a few more men in that battle.

I think that the reason he charges was because forwards was the only way he could escape the volley of arrows. Also people saying rickon should of zig-zagged. That would of only have gotten him so far, he wouldn't of survived the volley of arrows, whether he got to jon or not. As for why did jon rush out to rickon, how could he not. He has forges his reputation on being a leader who fights for the lives of his men and leads from the front, if he had let his brother die without trying right before a huge battle it would of affected his leadership and the morale of his men, especially the wildlings

This

John is his father's son (raised by ned I mean. Whoever planted the seed remains to be seen )

It's his greatest strength and biggest weakness

Sansa knows what's up

Hardhome is great but still overrated, this episode shits all over it.

Was anyone else scared that Ramsay would sneakily pull out a dagger while Jon was having at him on the ground?

Hate Sansa far more than Ramsey. What a waste of men you stupid merkin. Epic battle scenes but the whole episode was very predictable

Because the entire internet spread around theories f**king predicting it. f**k I'd hate to be D&D sometimes, you just make a wonderful episode and then some idiots say 'yeah that was pretty well done but we already predicted it, soooo, sorry'.
