But it is just a bit of fun
I mean Jon Snow was literally brought back from the dead by an old woman with the tits of a teenager
Hey, why the f**k did Wun Wun not have a weapon?
If he'd had a giant broadsword, axe or even just a f**king tree he would have annihilated the Boltons when they were surrounding them in the phalanx formation.
The books focus on the logistics a bit more, obviously the longer form lends itself to that. I'm glad the show doesn't bog itself down as much as the books, I just think if they could have handled a few things better if they tried.
Had they mentioned the Manderlays as being aligned with the Boltons? I can't recall, and in the books their role is substantially different.
Boggles my mind people would rather complain about how predictable the episode was rather than admire and compliment the beauty of it.It really was amazing. The dragons at the start, right through to the end when Ramsay got his. It really was brilliant. Next week will be another ripper then we all have to wait another yer before the season finale. That is going to be torture.
The Freys and Lannisters put the Boltons in Winterfell. Doubt they'll stand for the Starks taking it back
I'll be sad because I love old Walder
The Knights of the Vale cutting through the Bolton army like a ghost army through Orcs was a little disappointing too. If getting them onside meant instant victory I don't know why Jon was dragging his ass around to all the other houses and not going to see them.
I'll be sad because I love old Walder
Are you a fifteen yo girl full of honey ?
Are you a fifteen yo girl full of honey ?
We all have a bit of Ramsay Bolton in us so I can somewhat relate. But Walder Frey....going on a murder spree at a wedding banquet...that is pure madness.
Thinking back, did Sansa even tell Jon about the Vale and Littlefinger's offer of support? Did Jon not think to ask them for help? Do the Boltons and the other houses that fought for them have no scouts? How did the Knights of the Vale make it to Winterfell unseen and so quickly? It works as a deus ex machina in Lord of the Rings because it's a ghost army. That kind of thing doesn't work when it's thousands of real living people who have to travel halfway across the continent through enemy held territory.
The way all that was handled seemed like lazy writing, unless I'm overlooking something.
1. the Vale has stayed out of the war of five kings and there was no reason to think theyd get involved because of Stark honour.
2. They went to great lengths to show Ramsey loosening arrow after arrow into a sea of troops, killing indiscriminately, so it's conceivable to me that he knew he had the men, could sacrifice them and win the battle easily... which is exactly what happened until the Vale showed up... and again, what expectation could he have that the KNights of the Vale would ride for the North? They arent banner man for the North, and didnt ride for Rob, why would Ramsey or Jon expect them to ride for Sansa/Jon
The real question is why didnt Sansa tell Jon and Davos she could get them the knights of the Vale and them set the battle up? And the answer is probably story telling. It's boring if they just side with the Starks, even up and win an even battle.
