That Westoros forum is pure gold! Like, it genuinely begs the question as to why those people bothered watching, a few people literally commenting every 5-10 minutes with 'God, this is a shit show'. And some pretentious twat claimed that his/her 'third favourite female character from the books in Gatehouse Ami'...seriously? I had to google who the f**k that was (some Frey daughter who gets married off to LIttlefinger and has a grand total of 1 line of dialogue).

Fun read if you've got spare time!

I agree but I feel like he is weak regardless, him getting knifed didnt seem out of left field to me.

Physically he is very weak, that?s why he has Areo Hotah with him at all times. Areo getting knifed like that was a let down, he?s supposed to be an axe-wielding badass.

I think Dorne was changed dramatically in the show though, there's a few times this season where it was obvious that these were show changes because it was keeping some parts of the book secret.

I never liked Doran, his plans seem quite naive and his son...i mean what a waste of a character lol with the Dragons.

Bennyv I was pretty disturbed by their ratings on the last episode but in saying that I have noticed that forum very hostile with this season.
I think they're just resentful, we were supposed to get the book this year.
As much as Iove the show, I would prefer to read before watch.

It is a shit show. The people that actually like it are the same people you see playing midievil dress ups and having pretend battles in their free time.

After watching the entire 6th season again, one of the best things about this season is that it would be driving feminists crazy.

Fembots everywhere would be foaming at the mouth to write about strong women who overcame a man dominated world and rose to become Queens. But they’d have to acknowledge the fact these women are incestuous, mass murdering psychopaths and those characteristics are the reasons why they are Queens. Rest assured the Clem Clams over at the Daily Life would be banging their two brain cells together trying to come up with any angle to lavish praise on these woman characters.

The other issue for the Fembots is that the characteristics that made them Queens also make them extremely hot! I look at Cersie and I know how a male Mantis feels. I know she’s going to rip my head off and drink my blood after sex, but it would be worth it.

And before I hear from any resident feminist how much of an old, fat misogynist I am. I’m old, I’m a misogynist and I don’t care. And while watching season 6 and looking down at my old gut I realised being a fit, virile old man didn’t help Grand Maester Pycelle in the end as he lasted quite a while under that rain of blows. Whereas I, seeing that first kid draw a dagger and the look in their eyes, would have dropped dead from a heart attack and had a much more painless death. So fat gut justified! What else you got?

Chook.

I'm the a feminist (although so is SportiveCupid but her style is different to mine, not even sure she watches this show).
Feminists are too preoccupied with the latest 'Orange is the new black' season to care about GoT.

That's quite a paragraph to write though, I don't think I could be bothered writing that much about misogyny.

They didn?t need to kill off Doran to prevent spoiling the books. Have him execute Ellaria for Myrcella?s murder, bring the Sandsnakes into line by revealing that there was a plan to avenge Oberyn by siding with Dany and continue as is.

The funny thing about Ellaria is that she is pretty much the polar opposite of her book-series counterpart who just wants the violence to end.

I love the show but to me Dorne sticks out like a sore thumb.

How good was it seeing Olenna put Barbara in her place. Was a good as seeing someone slapping that smug little face. 'Ooo, none of the boys liked me in highschool, so I put up a tough exterior to hide that I'm always sad'

f**k you bitch

Didn't read the rest of the forum, and while I do agree that reading the books first is better than the other way around (I don't know that I'll bother reading them now seeing how it ends, will just get too confusing) it makes it no less hilarious that these people put themselves through watching the show purely to whinge on a forum Some admitted to watching it 2-3 times and hating it more and more.

As I said, pure gold!!!

A tad bit rough on the girl isn't it?

She can't help having a face you want to punch.

That is called internalised misogyny.

I watched the first 2 seasons before I've picked up the books, so was show first early and book first later. It's still good either way around. The books are still different enough from the show to still be interesting.

The show and the books mentioned early on that Arya resembled Lyanna Stark.

Pretty good casting of Lyanna

Yep. Wonder if we'll get any Tournament of Harrenhal flashbacks via Bran next year

I f**king hope so...they've often payed back on stories they've talked about which happened before the events in the series, Jaime's Kingslaying for example. Harrenhaal is just as important as the Kingslaying, if not, more important.

A spin off series of Roberts Rebellion is possible from HBO, so they may want to hold out on showing those flashbacks as awesome as they'll be
