I quite enjoyed today's episode, although obviously it had to do both a lot of setup and a lot of reminding more casual fans as to what has happened in the past.
- Really loved that they built up just what a smarmy, dangerous merkin Joffrey is. Both Cersei and Tyrion talk about it, we have his brilliantly smarmy exchange with Jaime, and even the not-at-all-subtle reminder of his delusions with that statue.
- The Viper of Dorne was wonderfully introduced. I liked that they also managed to get the guy who seduced Renly way back in season one to reprise his role as Baelish' 'pillow biter'
- No Littlefinger
- Love to hate the Slynt/Thorne pairing. They're going to provide some fun/frustrating scenes with Snow.
- The Thenns look pretty cool. I'm glad they've made them stand apart from the rest of the Wildlings, as they always seemed kind of 'meh' in the books.
- Change of Daario. Noticeably different looking and the dynamic has changed as well. Less flustered Dany and more flustered Daario. I approve, as her love story with him is f**king tedious.
- Arya and The Hound kicking ass. Loved it.
